3crgpoe10075 status led blinking with no stop

I bought some days ago this 3com wireless access point in order to use it as repeater to another access point. I tried to configure it and after resettign to factory 2 or 3 times [ and even before doign this ] i found that the STATUS LED is blinking in a non described way. At some point the STATUS led was blinking some seconds and then the AP was working - after some time - and after powring the device it starts to blink [ status led ] with no stop for 30 times or 40 times and then stops then blinking red light for tens of times - the 3com AP can be seen by my computer but with secure AP and no way to log in to it. and anyway - i think there is a firmware problem inside it. is there a way ( to reset to factory setting ) except pressing on reset upon powering on for long time [ maybe 1 minute or less a little ] ?

Hi ,,, i got yor problem. as ya said its not allowing ya to log nto it with security enabled. Ya can try to log into it with the ethernet cable as their wil be an ethernet LAN port onthe access point. I f ya know the default or the present ip of AP then ya can assign a static ip of the same range to yor computer like eg. ap is 192.168 .1.1 then your comp can have 192.168.1.10 and ya can log into it thru the ethernet cable and disable the security. i hope ya know how to assign a staic ip add to yor compuetr. or check the screen shots on brivers.com n select the "network connections" screen shots to assign a static ip address to yor' comp. feel free to chat with me on samrat101 thru yahoo or msn messenger or drop a mail on [email protected] for ny wless n ipphone issues -- take care ,, samrat

3com 3crwdr100a-72 how do I reset the router

For 3com type of routers, you must connect firstly to 3com setup, By:
First: open your browser and type 192.168.1.1
Second: you will find adapter setting and reset it, it all depends upon your router's software.
Third: the easiest way is to reset it from the small button in the back of your router.

Cannot find key or passphrase for the 3com access point. The wii is looking for the key or passphrase

Key's are usually installed by the one that installed the Wireless, if you are the one that installed it try to login into the router and disable the security or change it.

Repeater

The repeater must be the same brand as the signal it is repeating. Different routers / access points work in slightly different ways and the current generation of wireless repeaters aren't smart enough to work with other brands.

It's kind of like trying to put an engine from a Nissan Altima into a Honda Accord... both make the car move but they aren't the same inside.
