SOURCE: Sony DAV-SB100 - Tray won't open

the only way to get it open is threw the inside of the system and i wouldn't advise you to do that unless you know something about electronics or if you are lucky try to unplug it for about 30 mins and see if it will reset itself and plug it back up, and when you plug it back up only press the eject button. good luck!!!!!

James, before requesting service, make sure your amp is not in 2 channel mode. (Centre Channel, L and R Surround are optional) or that it isn't wired up so that it only gets 2 channel signal (i.e. Left and Right)

No sound through TV
In case you connect the System to a TV set using the Scart Connector, only the video signal is terminated, Audio is actually not wired inside the SB100 Scart connector.
Sound will only be amplified through the system itself (through the satelites and Sub) it can not be utilized as a stand-alone DVD player.
So after connecting your surround speakers the problem will be solved
