I have tried every code that is on the web. How do I get the ability to play may Region A bluray discs on a Region B player? I know there has to be some kind of code to change it to read either A Region discs or all regions. Please get back to me with some kind of good news.
Did this to my philips BDP3200 blu-ray player and it plays region 1 dvd's, waiting on region 1 blu-ray to come to test blu-ray.
It still plays region 2 blu-rays after doing this.
Do this to change to it to region
0 so it can play any region.
1.Power on with no disc in tray
2.Press HOME
3.Enter 1389310
To check the current region
1.Power on with no disc inside
2.Press HOME
3.Enter 8520
Region 1 blu-ray arrived and worked no problem, so you can use this to make your player region free for both dvd and blu-ray. So your be able to play dvds and blu-rays from anywhere.
What bluray did you test it on? Some, though marked Region A, may be region free.
Does this also works for a philips BDP2900/F7 blu ray player?
Update: Can't change the Blu-ray region on it, only the DVD region.
I don't know if it will work with BDP2900/F7.
I don't have a BDP2900/F7 to try this on. 1.- Turn On Philips BDP2900 2.- Press the Home button on the remote. 3.- Press 1389310 on the remote. 4.- Press the power off on the front of the player. 5.- Power on using the front of the player. DVD will be region free but Blu-ray won't be changed. Since I can't test it, use at own risk.

Hi
Most DVD Players these days are multi regional. The only variation to this are ones used soley for USA Market. Usually, in the insyruction manual it will tell you if your machine is multi rehion and if its default settin g is for one region, it will tell you if it can be reset.
Get back to me if you need any further help
