The problem is not the signal it is in the set--have the set inspected by a service center or a repair person.

Let me give you Technical tip. Find "IF Block" in TV, it would be near Tuner, Open the IF Block and resold it with solder iron. make sure not to make bridges between solder points. Reason of problem in your TV is .."acostic tuning frequency drift". I dont know, how to clear my point. But I am sure, this will solve your TV's problem. Good luck.

Two vertical black lines on the screen of my ps50b430

Unless someone played with the TV and disconnected the plasma display from the address buffer boards that go under the screen the prospects aren't good.

All vertical lines in all plasma TVs I have seen are operated by chips embedded in the fabric of the display as well.

When they fail they'd either short or burn open.

In the first case they'd prevent the TV from coming up, in the second they'd typically manifest as either black or a random color vertical line like you have.

This is not repairable...sorry.

The odds of this being something else is fairly minimal in my opinion.

Please don't kill the messenger...

How do i manually get rid of the coloured lines on the side of my 40inch lcd samsung tv

Vertical colored lines indicate there is a problem with the unit. This could be caused by a bad T/Con board, main board, LVDS cable or the lcd panel itself. I had to replace a panel last week for this problem at a cost of around $800.00 since it was out of warranty. You can call 1-800-samsung to find the nearest service center.

TV suddenly lost colour - gone black and white Virgin Media.

most likely the problem is due to a "lock up" you need to reset the system, unplug the set, and look in the back panel (I am assuming it is a digital (flat screen tv?) for a small (usuall) red nipple, again making sure the power is unplugged, depress the nipple with a bll point pen for about 5 seconds, wait a few minuets, and plug the set back in, you will most likely need to go to your menu for set up again, but you will be starting with a clean slate (so to sleak) and the tuner should then correctly pass the signal though

NEC px-42vp4g/s 42in.plasma monitor PDP:np42b3mf01...

Hello,
I have the same problem with vertical coloured lines on my NEC PX-42VP4G/S. The photo only shows a black background just so it's easier to see the lines in the photo but normally the picture is OK except for the vertical lines which aren't always in the same place.
If anyone can advise on exactly what I need to replace then I would be very grateful.
Regards, Simon.
