Kenmore Series 80 won't stop filling.

From other solutions it seems like the fill switch. Is there any specific instructions on how to access that? ie how to I remove the top cover? Also if I need to replace is there a part number?

Kenmore 80 series won't stop filling and over flows till you turn it off.

  • dega girl Oct 14, 2008

My Kenmore Series 80 washer started by not letting me reset my water level and would only allow us to wash on small loads. On one load our machine filled, started to wash and water came out from under the washer. I turned machine off. We took apart to find where it leaked from and could not find where it had come from. Drained washer and turned back on and it will not even fill up at all now.

Do you have the owner's manuals? The "Repair Parts List" shows the part numbers. On my series 80 it's 3366847. As far as being able to access it - good luck - if you take off the back you'll never get it back on right. There must be a way to get to it from the front panel.

Where is the reset button for a kenmore 80 washer wont stop filling water level

If this is a top loader then the vacuum line has come off of the dashpot or the water level switch is broken. UNPLUG the power-Standing in front of the washer, pry off the plastic trim strips on the left and right of the dash (control panel) Now you'll see a screw at the bottom where the strips mounted, remove ans KEEP the screws, now the dash will lift up and fold back, giving access to the parts.

How do I check and replace the water level sensor on my Kenmore 80 Series Hvy Dty Washer?

Try eserviceinfo.com/index as per your 80 series. There are various downloads there that may help access the water level sensor which is most likely the problem.

Kenmore series 80 model 110 wont stop filling!

There is a clear plastic hose that runs from the load selection switch to the side of the washer drum. This hose connects the fill sensor to the load switch. without it being in good condition and connected properly the washer won,t get a signal that it's full.

Kenmore washer 90 series continue to fill w/water. Load size won't stop the fill... had to shut off water source. won't get to agitate phase... just want to stay at fill stage... can drain, spin,...

Sounds like the fill switch needs to be replaced. A good way to test it is to set your machine on low fill and see if it fills past 3/4. If it does, it's the fill switch.

Kenmore Heavy Duty 80 Series Extra Capacity Plus Model# 92480200. The washer will begin to fill and will not stop filling regardless if water level setting is on low, medium or high and will overflow and...

The problem is the pressure switch has failed or the hose is plugged up, has a hole in it. These are usually inexpensive and are very easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru testing and replacing a pressure switch. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.

I have a Kemore 80 series washer model not filling properly

Check the inlet hoses for plugged screens at the faucet ends. The screens are usually replaceable if you can't get them clean in a white vinegar/hot water solution. Check the inlet ports to the washer for similar screens. Hope this helps!

Kenmore 80 series washer doesn't stop filling up with water

Almost went and bought a switch until I widened by search for "kenmore washer 80 series overflow" and came up with this:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t1206464-kenmore_80_series_overflow

Turns out that a couple weeks ago, I had a really unbalanced load that probably shook off the tubing. Anyhow, saved me a trip to the supply store AND cost. Thanks to the original poster!

Kenmore heavy duty 80 series won't stop filling with water.

I removed the top of my washer to access the switch. I had to pull some screws out on the back and pulled the whole top forward and then up.
