My 1 yr old dryer suddently stopped working - no lights at all. Open and measured the volatage from the wall outlet to the m/c is 120v on two wires. I think there might be a trip switch - but not able to locate - Operating manual is missing too - can some one help me please ? Thanks.

I checked Sears website and they have a service plan available for machines no longer under warranty. For $193 plus tax they will fix the machine and give you an additional 12 months coverage. This plan covers labor and parts up to $500. If they cannot repair the machine they will give you a $500 credit towards a new one. The guy came out today and replace the front control panel and another panel located on the top left side of the drum. It works fine now.
OMG...the same thing happened to me tonight. A kenmore 80 series quietpak just stopped working, and voltage is fine in the wall outlet...so PLEASE if anyone can help, we'd appreciate it! thanks.

My 3yr old Kenmore Elite HE4 Model # 110.85087400 has no power to front control panel. None of the buttons light up and none of the controls work. Power is good. I followed the tech troubleshooting guide located on the inside of the front, bottom panel. It lead me to "replace the machine control electronics". Cost: $165.00. Has anyone else had this problem? Have a solution?
All the control lights won't work. Power is good, inside light works and can lock controls.

Kenmoe elite He4 gas dryer 21/2 yrs old front display no LED 2 service calls later changed control board twice ran diagnostics on front panel ($365 to replace) first repair said okay order a second board second repair came took top off dryer worked messed with it quit working replaced board then said front control panel was bad almost $500 to fix. Any idea what could rally be wrong
