I've tried everything in trying to get my Vizio VSB200 sound bar to work with my Universal Remote R6. It needs a 3-digit code the Vizio seems to only have 4 and 5 digit codes. None of the "might work" codes do and the R6 won't "learn" it from the Vizio remote. Any success stories out there?

Here are the GE Universal Remote 4 digit codes for a JVC TV.
0060... 0026... 0197... 0069... 0160...0247... 0923... 0012... 0065... 0067... 0141
Direct Code Entry
1. Press and hold the SETUP
button until the red
indicator stays on, then
release the SETUP button.
2. Press and release the
desired Mode button (TV,
VCR, etc.). The red
indicator blinks, then
stays lit.
3. Enter the 4 digit code from
the code tables. Note:
after a valid code entry,
the red indicator turns off.
For an invalid code, the
red indicator flashes.
4.With your device on,
press CHANNEL UP. If
the device responds, no
further programming is
required. Note: If some
buttons do not operate
your device, try one of the
other codes for your
brand.
Note, when all codes have
been searched the red
indicator flashes rapidly for 3 seconds.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely, CBR2009

Don't know the codesbut you can scan for it by doing the following:
If your remote has a 'Scan' button, do the following:
1. Press the VCR button
2. point the remote at the VCR and press the 'Scan' button.
This will get the remote to go through all of the codes it knows for VCRs at about 3 second intervals. Once you see the VCR state change, hit any key on the remote and it will be programmed for the proper code.
After much research, here is a
step-by-step for getting your Vizio Soundbar to work with the Comcast remote
using EFC codes (mine is the newer charcoal grey one, works great!)
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 11144
(2 blinks)
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00169 - Vol Up - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00168 - Vol Down - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00037 - Mute - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00165 - Power - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00164 - Input - Should get 2 blinks
These are optional, I didn't use
them:
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00036 - <button to use for TVOL> - Should get 2 blinks
Aux - Setup (2 blinks) - 994 -
Setup - 00101 - <button to use for TSHD> - Should get 2 blinks
Then set the volume control on
the remote and other settings according to the Remote's manual.
ENJOY!! Hope this helps someone...

I did figure it out and was able to get the Universal Remote R6 to "learn" commands from the Vizio remote. When programing other on/off functions in the R6 the manual always tells you that whatever component you're trying to control, start with that component "on" and when you've succeeded with the process the component will turn off. This didn't work with the Vizio even though the R6 indicated it had "learned"the on/off function. When I turned the Vizio off and repeated the process it worked as it should turning the sound bar on and off.
