Acer aspire 5600 shut down

Hey im the one thats asked u about my computer crash during game play. the weird thing is my computer supports the game both my hard drives are practiically empty 2 drives at 60 gigs and there both at about 48 gigs free space. i also used to play the game and games before none stop and i had no problems with it until not to long ago. this is the reason why i might think that it might be a hardware issue. id rather find out what hardware may need to be placed so that way i dont have to pay a ridiculous amount to have it looked at. would you happen to know if i can do any upgrades to this laptop, (acer aspire 5600)

Thanx again

regards: Tommy

The only way you can upgrade the graphics on a laptop is to purchase a graphics accelerator card that plugs in to the usb slot, its not an upgrade as such but it will allow you to play high res games on the laptop, there would have to be a memory upgrade to go with that also

Nvidia are doing some good laptop accelerators at the moment but they are expensive!!!

kind regards

I have and ACER aspire 5738G (1yr old now), everytime im playing games, the left portion, exactly below the power button is getting very hot after 30 mins, then my laptop will shutdown.

Games will cause more heat as they put your components under more stress. Make sure that you are not blocking any of the vents and also, check them for dust. Give them a vacuum if they are dusty. It sounds like there is not enough ventilation, which causes your computer to overheat and then to shut down.

I have acer aspire 5600, mouse and keyboard frozen in windows but works in bios and in safe mode,i have done many alternatives like install other windows xp versions and connected usb mouse but failed in...

Your laptop will need a new motherboard, or you should repair the one you have. You'll have to do a reflow of the FSB chip. This is an unfortunate and common problems lately. Not to play the blame game, the rapid growth of laptop demand and constant decline of prices inevitably led us to this situation of having poor quality control. So, don't blame anyone, that's just the way things are nowadays. :)

Acer aspire 5600 shut down

it sounds like the video card cannot support or handle the pressure put on it by the game you are trying to play, if it is an OEM game have a look for the minium system requirements that the game will run on, you can also find this information on line, you will probably find out that the graphics card doesn't support the game, do this check with all games you try to play
another thing is to upgrade your memory because some laptops don't have a devoted graphics card thus they are relient on the system memory

good luck

5600 aspire shut down prob.

the problem is not your hard drive, if you are using vista then there are compatbility issues with certain programmes, if yoou are using XP all you need to do is download the latest codecs, this also goes for vista, try not to use XP programmes with vista because you will run into problems
