I have a brand new line 6 bass amp 750 w but everytime i start playing on the low b string of my bass, the amp cuts out for a second or 2 any ideas why?
Protective circuits kicking in. You may be overdriving the preamp to a clipping condition the amp sees as a problem. If it is under warranty, contact Line 6 and see if this is normal for this amp. It should not be, but you never can be sure.

Line 6 lowdown 750 cutting out.......i took mine apart and reflowed the cicuit boards and it no longer has the problem.
Probably this trouble is in 4-ch op. amp on a main PCB. The Micro Spider is fully digital system and this op amp stays on ADC/DAC in/out. All signals from the guitar input PCB goes through it. Try to replace op amp.
SOURCE: Fender Jazz Bass E string saddle vibrates down
Hi Mike,
If the sound is like a string vibrating against something, ensure that is not strings (usually G) vibrating against the bridge.
Ensure that the two screw on the saddle are well in place.
Ensure also that the vibration is not coming from a string vibrating against the frets, in that case you can fix the problem by adjusting the action and rectifying the bow of the neck.
In either case, if the sadde and neck bow are cause of vibration, try tweaking the saddles a little, and lowering the position of the saddle a bit downward. Try also to rectify the neck. turning the apposite screw.

The things to check arre FIRST the cable. These often have breaks or bad connectors. Replace with known good one and try it.
Next are the jacks on the guitar and the amp. These go bad and wiggling the KNOWN good cable at each end will flag which or both being bad.
Next are the switches and potentiometers in the guitar. Use some CRC226 sprayed into the pot and switch contacts... use sparingly...
The key is to find which thing or things are bad.

Sounds like it is overheating and protection circuit cuts it out.
Try putting a fan on it or driving it less hard.

IF the blue is on the GLASS envelope, that is just phosphouresence in the glass and not a problem. The harder you drive the tube, the brighter this will get. The electron beam heading toward the plat of the tube leaks past the plate and hits the glass. ot to worry if the blue is on the glass.
IF the glow is magenta/purple in between the internal electrodes, the tubes have gotten gassy and need replacing.
From your desciption, I would suspect a capacitor is going bad someplace in the unit OR the vibration has loosened a connection someplace. Input jacks are VERY common problem for intermittent noises like this. The jacks get destroyed because the musicians FAIL to restrain the intrument cables and yank them sideways. Loop the cable through the handle to help avoid the problem.

The frequency of the A string when in tune is 110Hz.
What you are hearing is actually 120Hz which is the second harmonic of the 60Hz power frequency. It would be hard for you to distinguish between 110 an 120.
Try this test: Bring something that produces a reasonable magnetic field such as a wall wart power adapter that is powered near your pickup... Then you will be able to see that you are picking up stray magnetic fields from your environment.
Humbucker pickups attempt to quash such pickup by winding the pickup so stray magnetic fields cancel in adjacent coils.
Some pickup CAN occur on your cord and also in an amp.
If you leave your cable unplugged from teh guitar you are LIKELY to pick up some of this hum... The second harmonic pickup is COMMON when devces like full wave rectifiers are driven by transformers in the area.
