Password Protect microSD card in MOTOROKR E8

Micro Secure Digital memory cards, or Micro SD cards, provide storage for a variety of different kinds of devices, including mobile phones, PDAs and cameras.
They can be protected by passwords so that the information that you have saved on it is secure. Sometimes, the password can be forgotten or lost.
Recovering your password is easily done with your computer and SD card reader on your computer.

Place the micro SD card into your card reader on your computer.
Right-click your "Start" button and then "Explore".
Find the micro SD card, it will be listed as a removable drive.
Click on the micro SD card and the files will show on the right-hand side.
Find the file that says " MMCSTORE" and then select "Copy."
Right-click on your desktop and then click "Paste."
This will move the MMCSTORE file to the desktop so that you can get access to edit it.
Right-click on the MMCSTORE and then click on "Open With." Open the file with Notepad.
Read the text to find the password. It will be in plain text.
Remove the SD card from the computer and place it into the device for which it is used as storage. Turn on the device.
When it prompts you for the password, enter it.

Some MicroSD cards are password protected, preventing you from using the card without the password.
You can circumvent this restriction by formatting the card, which eliminates the password requirement.

Insert the MicroSD card in your MicroSD card adapter and insert the adapter in the SD slot on your computer.
Right-click "Start" and select "Explore".

Click "Computer" and right-click the drive letter of the MicroSD card.
Select "Format", select the "FAT32" file system from the drop-down menu and press "Enter" to reformat the card.

You have to choose the simple way to remove the password in your , Follow the steps below...

Insert the memory card into the card reader or any mass storage device into your computer

• go to the file <memorycard>:/system then find the file "mmc store".and rename the file to "mmcstore.txt" (Hidden file should be made as shown from tools->Folder option->Show hidden files)
• Now open the file in notepad ,
• No you will see the password.

first of all press the top most right button, then using the scroll go inside the settings icon . the settings icon will have a wheel made on it, then select the top most icon n then select the 7th option in tht select the language

Hello. I am having a peculiar problem with my memory card on my Motorokr E6. It always write protected even when the lock on the card is ''free.'' I can access it from a PC using windows Vista but cant add/delete content to card while using XP.

for motorola ROKR E8, you need to have 2 GB microSD. because you need only 4 GB memory. and more memory may slow your mobile phone soon..
