Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 Digital Camera
After 2 years of reliable use, my TZ1 flash is out of sync with the shutter. The flash usually goes off before the shutter. If I take the same indoor shot 10 times, one may be OK. Another will be over exposed but most will be very dark or red due to the AF light since the flash usually goes off well before the shutter.
I can't find any setting that could affect this and I don't see any reset button on the camera.
I tried leaving the batteries out for 24 hours - no change. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Panasonic TZ1 flash problems!!
Panasonic knows about this and can fix it. It involves replacing a circuit board. I sent them my camera (Elk Grove Village, IL repair facility) at the beginning of Dec with a letter giving six web sites reporting the problem and asking them to fix it free of charge. I don't think the camera was on warranty, but I received it back, fixed, and with no charge, in about a week. Panasonic really came through on this and there is clearly no fix other than this one... except to stop trying to take flash pictures.
