Horizontal lines across TV screen Pansonic CT 35g25

Check its vertical output section circuit for any component damage or loose soldering terminals. Check the solder terminals of the vertical output IC. Resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying al little more fresh solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjacent solder terminals.
If this do not help you, replace the vertical output IC. Lose of Vertical Scan is the problem of your TV.

Line across middle of screen.

The line of color is due to a failure in the vertical circuit. The main suspects are the vertical Ic AN15525A and/or capacitor c308 220uf@35volts
If you have the capacity to do so, you should check the other electrolytic capacitors in the vertical circuit which are USUALLY located near the vertical IC in most cases
you can purchase the part at

Won't turn on

Once you take the back off there is a glass gma fuse withing a few inches of where the power cord plugs into the board at. This should be a 6.3 or 6.5 gma fuse. Very common to blow in your model because the degausing coil is a little to big for it. There are other reasons for it to blow but 99% of the time you change change it and the set will work again. Let me know if you need more help or info!

Vertical hold

If the picture is in an hourglass shape this has nothing to do with vertical hold. Besides, on all these sets, the hold and parameters are all uPC controled through a firmware routine that is burned in to an EPROM.

It is obvious that there is a failed component somewhere because of the hour glass shape. The area of failure is most likely in the pin amp section. If the hourglass is from the sides, it would be horizontal pin. If it is top and bottom, the fault is in the vertical pin section.

A common cause is from a capacitor that has failed in the mentioned area. Sometimes it can be an IC or other type of component in the pin amp area, but not as often as failed capacitors.

You can take the set in to service the fault. I don't think you can fix this yourself unless you are trained in TV service and have the experience and setup to troubleshoot for the bad parts, and do this type of service.

No picture

You have an intermittant vertical sweep circuit! It could be the vertical out put IC solder connections on the printed circuit board, or maybe the IC itself has poor connections between the IC and the contact legs that mount the IC, or another componet in the vertical sweep circuit. If you know how to solder and unsolder, work on printed circuit boards, then you shoul have no problem replacing the vertical sweep circuit. Good Luck
