Do other usb devices get picked up? What operating system are you running?

You don't need a disc, you need Samsung Kies (so just google for it and download it to your computer). After installing you will have a working driver for your device. Under connection settings and I mean USB connection settings (you can find it in under Settings -> Wireless and network, change it to connect to samsung kies. Connect the phone and open Kies and everything should work.

You computer's wireless card needs to be configures with the router's wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption key etc.

But you need to keep 1 Computer on to keep the connection alive for other users

to connect on a mobile network you neet to be a data plan subscriber with that network, if you try conect with your wirelless home network, you must conect via wi-fi. its basicly very simple to follow, chose your network ssid (name), connect type ssid network password (you must have that saved on your primary computer connected to your router, on my docs) hope that helps.

ask you ISP what are the IP address and DNS server address that you need to feed in the properties setting of the TCP/IP setting in the Network Connection wizard in Control Panel
without these the connection will not work

T-mobile is CDMA setting u need to access with GSM sim u need to clash a mobil to use a GSM sim

The first and most obvious thing to check would be the firewall, which you didn't mention..
Try shutting the firewall down, then connecting the Dash.
