Instruction Manual for Model 44860 Hunter Thermostat

I lost my manual (think the wife trashed it)?
Now I have trouble programming the 44860 - for instance I was trying to change the heating setting and now I am on the blue cooling screen.
Cannot seem to locate "Instruction Manual" under the Hunter Fan search.
My 4 year old grandson is staying with us and I would like to get the thermostat programmed at you earliest convenience as temperature has dropped to 39 degrees outside - current time is 4:22 PM.

Thanks,

Well, I consulted with Randell (my 12 year old grandson) - he assisted me in finding the solution in converting cooling to heating on the touch pad. Jameson (the 4 year old grandson) looked on, wanted to help Pa-Pa - but, we could only listen to his demands to help.

I still need an instruction manual - can you advise me how to obtain a replacement (or print one from the internet)?

Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Air handler fan runs continuosly. Will not shut off.

There should be fan options "automatic" which will turn on with heat or cool. , continuous, and perhaps "circulate" which is a randomized turn and off. Double-check your Thermostat programming manual. If no manual,

Hunter 44860 touchscreen thermostat- My thermostat displays "LO". My wife said she played with it and can't fix it. He heat won't shut off! I thought it was the batteries so I replaced them. I noticed...

I suggest to everyone NEVER to buy a cheap thermostat from any box store regardless of brand. Always go with Honeywell or White Rodgers high end stats and DO NOT lose their booklets.

Auto recovery mode raises the temperature above

Hummm... how far is your Thermostat from your heater? I am reading your extensive manual but there is no mention of that distance? There was a early mention of batteries? Are yours fresh?

Is this a 'new' problem? Has it worked properly before?

Then there is this from the manual:

The installer can set SYSTEM functions once the thermostat is installed. The
default settings are shown in bold in the following list. Options are listed inside the
parentheses. Example: the default SYSTEM TYPE is CONVENTIONAL with (HEAT PUMP) as a second option. See pages 28-29 to change these settings.

Have you tried resetting your Thermostat?? Sometimes these basic 'onboard' computers get confused... especially true with lots of 'options'...

It's a little hassle to get a DIGITAL copy of your manual (I am not a Robot ~ etc) ~ but here it is:

Hunter 44860 Thermostat - continually resets clock to 1am

My Hunter 44860 is doing this also. It started on Nov. 1, 2009. It also displays the day of the week as "SUNDAYAY" when it hangs. I believe this is a firmware problem with older stock. Unfortunately I bought it from Lowes this fall and lost the receipt. I am going to try to return it to Hunter Fan Co for an exchange.

"Hunter" says it all. Throw it out and buy a honeywell, robertshaw, or a white-rodgers. Hunter stats are notorious in the business as being problematic.
