i have seen on the internet that people are saying the site went down a couple of days ago and now people are saying the same as you.but no one has said when and if its back up yet.
this is not saying this is why you are having trouble .just check around the internet to find out more.
Go to the Settings Menu, Select the Wireless & VPN option and see if you are in Airplane mode, if you are turn that off. Then select Wi-Fi. See if Wi-Fi is turned on. If it's not turn it on. There should be a list of available Wi-Fi routers. If one is not selected select one that is open or that you have the password to. If none are open or they are locked and you don't have a password, you'll need to get a password for one, or install your own Wi-Fi router.
I have same prob. Got through to help desk after 3/4hr on hold. Apparently server in the US has crashed so everyone is experiencing problems with the Kidstar mode. Our tablet used to be OK too but now not. Guy I spoke to said he's hoping server should be fixed by tom pm. He didn't seem to know what was going on to be honest. It all seems a bit odd. Hope this answer of some help.
I havent ever used that specific tablet but i am preety sure that basically you would go to your settings, go into the wi-fi tab then select your school's internet
http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=faq#faqcat_8 on this page you will find almost all answers for your questions related with the tablet ..(under internet tablets sector ) The issue in your case it is the internet connection itself ..either the wireless network you used it is not working anymore or not on (if you use a router ) ..or simply you reset the tablet and you need to make the connection again ..Just open the internet connections ..(wireless card 0 ..and select to scan for networks ...and when you find your network ..select ti ..and than click connect ..This should connect it right the way .. Also check if your internet network may need your mac address for to let you connect ..(this happens on the networks having the access restricted by the Mac address..) to get it follow these :
Click on Settings.
Click on Wireless & Networks.
Click on Wi-Fi Settings.
Click the MENU button, located on the side of the unit.
Click on "Advanced".
Your MAC address will appear in the Advance Menu ..
same way to get to the connection for to activate just open wifi connections ..
Hi there. I noticed that sometimes Android devices seem to have trouble connecting to certain access points or.they seem to stop connecting alltoghether to certain routers. Sometimes this method can help:
Select the network you are trying to connect to and select "forget this network".
Reboot the tablet and try to reconnect again. Sometimes this doesn't work on the first try.
If that doesn't work I have heard of other fixes but they require "rooting" the tablet which could be potentiall dangerous.
Another thing you can try if that doesn't work is change the security to a different encryption type. Your password will either be WEP or WPA. Whatever it is try to change it to the other. I cannot give you detailed instructions on this because I don't know your router model or its current settings. Hopefully this helps and leave a comment if you have further questions. Good luck!
hasn't worked.
will contact isp for solution.
