Why won't my LG Optimus Black vibrate when I receive a text message?
My phone vibrates, I know that for sure, but when I receive a text message I get the little notification on the top bar, but alas no buzz. I have tried changing the the vibrate in the main settings and in the separate messaging settings. I have removed my battery and SD card as well at the SIM card, but nothing seems to work. I also uninstalled the last app I downloaded before it stopped working. Can anyone help?

Go into settings go to notification go down to messaging and then go down to email look to see that notification is turn on in messaging and then go to email & c F notification is on in email
for sending text messages : 1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct 2. call to your network operator customer care 3. request the message center number... 4.note it down 5. go to message settings>message center number 6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

tones and vibrate is located at the profile. there are option if you wish to turn on your ******** simultaneously with call ring or message. just go to settings and set your prefer option.
Gah! I had this same issue. Click on the Messaging icon. Then click the button farthest to the left and it will bring up the settings menu. That is where you will be able to choose your vibration option. It took me a couple of days to figure it out, but I finally did. The text message setting aren't available in the regular settings area. You have to actually click on messaging and then adjust the settings there.
