I had problems with my unit which I purchased from Dell. This is what Tomtom had to say to me and it worked...my situation was when I connected it to my computer, I was no longer able to have it work correctly. I would press reset and the same thing happened. Here was my solution to the problem: After all maps have been copied to the computer, we can reformat the disk. This is done by entering to My Computer and right clicking on the drive that displays the TomTom. From there, left click on format and choose start (not quick format). In one to two minutes, the disk will be formatted and all files will have deleted. This does mean we will have lost all demos for audiobooks and mp3 player. After doing this, we can copy the map folders back onto the TomTom drive from the desktop. Then, we can open the TomTom HOME program. Once the program reads the TomTom drive, it will check for updates. These updates should include a TomTom program application and voices. We can download these updates and then choose to install them. Once installed, we can then safely remove hardware. The unit should reboot on its own, but we may have to reset the unit if it does not. After doing this, the unit should be in full working order and you should be able to navigate. Just a quick note...in order for the TomTom to work correctly, we must have an application, a map, and at least one voice installed on the hard drive.

Exactly the same problem here, don't know what to do

  • Anonymous Jan 18, 2007

found the solution in the tomtom.com trouble shooting questions:
"How can I reset TomTom GO? (GO users only)
You should never have to reset TomTom GO under normal circumstances. However, in the event of a problem you can reset the unit by removing it from the cradle and using a straightened paper clip in the reset hole on the unit's bottom (just behind the release button)."
    Worked a treat for me

Camera showing flat batteries

May not work on yours but I have (hopefully had) same issue. I found that it will stay on if you keep pressing shutter to focus or switch straight to video and record - it stays on until you finish recording. I don't know why but after I moved the focus switch from caf to manual, took a couple of pictures and put it back to caf it now stays on.

That was only yesterday though so I cant say its permanently fixed yet.

Let me know if it helps.

Try another battery, it's possible current battery no longer viable or needs a deep discharge recharging.

Camera wont stay on, please help

Possible that the Lens Mechanism is out of sync. If its still within warranty just bring it in and have it serviced. If not I may be able to help you out but it requires dismantling the camera,..

If any one knows a quicker and easier way maybe they can post it here But as far as experience goes thats what happened with mine,

Hope this helps
