Kyocera FS-1920 won't pick up paper from tray

Download the KPDL drivers and after they are installed go to the printer properties, then device settings and select how many paper feeders you have "in addition" do the 1st tray. So if you have two trays just pick "one" for that option. Then you will be able to scroll back up and choose what paper type it is.

Lastly, set your Printing Preferences in the properties if you want to specify a specific tray/cassette to print from or just let the printer auto select.

Pickup rollers can lose their grip from paper fibers and the surface of the rubber drying out. They occasionally need to be accessed for cleaning. Use a fiber-free cloth or paper towel and scrub them with a little naphtha. Using low-grade paper can clog them quicker.

Try the feed tires in the tray first. More than likely the paper is not being picked up and causing jam message. The separation roller also has a hub on it to prevent a second sheet from feeding. Sometimes these start to lock up ,a little oil on the hub sometimes relieves some of the tension.

on the menu buttons on the machine..change the paper exit to go out the back.. if this solves the problem.. you might be looking into replacing exit rollers or fuser

if its flashing then the machine is warming up.. if its lit then there is a paper jam or a tray or door is open...

Please install printer cartridge with drum unite properly.

clean the paper feed roller with a damp cloth after removing the paper tray, otherwise call a technician since parts may need to be replaced, including the roller in case.

Make sure that your paper sizes match in the control panel of the printer in Windows. It will not only cause the duplex not to work but could cause jamming problems as well. When printing in duplex mode, make sure it is turned on.

check the paper size dial on the left inside of cassette draw.
