With standard color coding of wiring, the clear coated should be the negative ground. However, this is not always a guaranteed bet. If you just want the pickup polarity, use a meter on ohms or continuity and test each wire to the pickup body, presuming the body is metal. The body should be ground. Otherwise try http://guitarelectronics.com/guitar-wiring-resources/
or pininterest.com or ultimateguitar.com which have detailed wiring sketches of many pickups and associated wiring.

Wiring instructions dean edge bass guitar 4 pots & battery

To wire a Dean Edge bass guitar with four pots (potentiometers) and a battery, you will need to follow the wiring diagram for the specific model of your bass guitar. Here is a general overview of the wiring process:
 1. Start by connecting the ground wires to the pots and the battery. The ground wires should be connected to the ground terminal on each pot and the negative terminal on the battery.
 2. Next, connect the power wires to the pots and the battery. The power wires should be connected to the positive terminal on the battery and to the power terminal on each pot.
 3. Connect the pickup wires to the pots and the output jack. The pickup wires should be connected to the pickup terminals on the pots and to the input terminals on the output jack.
 4. Connect the control wires to the pots and the output jack. The control wires should be connected to the control terminals on the pots and to the output terminals on the output jack.
 5. Test the wiring to make sure everything is working properly. If there are any issues with the wiring, you may need to double-check your connections or consult the wiring diagram for your specific bass guitar model.
It is recommended that you follow the wiring diagram provided by Dean or consult a qualified technician if you are not comfortable wiring the bass guitar yourself. Improper wiring can damage the guitar and potentially pose a safety hazard.

Need wiring diagram for Randall rx412

The four speakers are split into two groups left and right. You connect the positive terminal on the upper left speaker to the positive terminal on on the bottom left speaker. Then repeat process connecting negative to negative on the same two left speakers. Then connect one wire from the upper left positive to the positive connector on the jack that is marked 4ohm LEFT on the plate attached to the rear of the speaker cab. The do the same connecting a wire from the negative terminal to the negative terminal on the same left jack. Now repeat the process on the right side in exactly the same way this time connecting to the 4ohm RIGHT jack. The switch that is in-between the two jacks can be set for either channel or for both together for stereo at 8 ohms HOPE THIS HELPS

My Dean Dave Mustaine signature V will not produce any sound

It looks like you have 2 humbuckers (how many wires on each?), one 3 way selector and 1 volume and 2 tone controls, plus the output jack. Tell me how many wires on these humbuckers and what colors and I can help you wire it.

My double pick up Dean edge quit working while playing. I checked the wiring and all looks good, but three is s a black wire coming from hole to center of body attached to nothing. Looks like it never was....

Make sure you have two wires soldered to the output jack on the bass. having a wire lose is not purposely put like that, for no sound from the bass then that wire is either from the pickups and connects to the pots on the bass or on the output jack. I would suggest taking it to an authorized dean dealer to inspect the wiring.

I dont know how to rewire the back of my dean evo xm? i tried to fix the faulty input so i thought the wires were faulty so i tried to rewire it and i dont know where everything goes now. theres red yellow...

It is rare that wires would be faulty. Soldering can be, but not the wires usually.

Common problems are broken jacks or pots that are broken or shorting to the paint in the cavity.

If you have things unwired now, the best thing is to find an appropriate circuit here and wire it like that:

http://www.guitarelectronics.com/c=gpIlkL5hB6ISnsWqCfLePUcJa/category/wiring_resources_guitar_wiring_diagrams/

I need to wire the input on my vendetta

The positive wire is usually white and the ground is black. The ground goes on the tab that connects to the barrel that the guitar plug fits into and the positive is the tab that connects with the tip of the plug.
