Hi,ref hitachi 42"pd660,im connected to sky,xbox,dvd,only on tv,sky channels especially sports the pictures terrible, fuzzy with white vertical lines down screen 1-1 half inch apart,tried all ,sky signal good satelite dish ok,cant retune tv?really frustrating me can anyone give advice on re tune or new set up config,oh ive also bought new scart from sky to plasma no joy

snoopmikeym - Have you found anything out on what is causing the line?? I am completely frustrated with Hitachi no tech help what so ever. The nearest service place is in a town of about 500 people and 30 miles away... I doubt they've worked on a 55" plasma before....

If the set is still in warranty, call for warranty service. If not and you feel comfortable working on the set, carefully open up the back and reseat all of hte cables and connectors. This can be caused by marginal connections inside the set.

I think that you have dry solder joints on either the vertical scan board, the focus board, the line output stage, or the chroma panel. Hope this helps.
