I've had this problem happen lots of times before. usually restarting the PC with the switch enabled to the PC that is booting will solve this problem. For some reason, sometimes the drivers don't load for the mouse and keyboard when starting up the PC.

The antenna that you found is purely for the Wireless LAN. The Keyboard and Mouse are already paired with the bluetooth receiver. This is "HIDDEN" in the mouse battery compartment. But not where you'll see it... it is in the LID of the compartment.

My wireless mouse and keyboard have been working fien. When i switched on today, I got a "usb device not recognised" and they no longer funtion. ihave tried to check for new drivers, restarted...

I had that problem when I reinstalled my OS. I went to the Microsoft website and searched for the software for the keyboard and mouse, Intellipoint, for the mouse I think. It comes as a package for the mouse and kb based on the model you have. Pretty simple to find. Just load it and it should install without a problem and be recognized by PC. If your USB drivers are OK, this should be all you need to do.

It doesn't work

Please vote and rate me if this helps.

First you will have to go to this site and download the drivers for the mouse :
http://www.dynexproducts.com/pc-331-25-dynex-wireless-optical-mouse.aspx
And then you will have to follow these directions which were found on the site :

Communication Interference for Wireless Device Owners
If you have multiple Dynex mouse/keyboard sets set-up in close proximity they may interfere with each other causing incorrect operation of the device.
Press the receiver synchronization button on the base unit and the base's blue LED should start flashing. Turn over the mouse and
keyboard and on each device hold down the Connect button for two seconds. This will force the unit to operate on a different channel and
should allow multiple keyboards/mice to operate in close proximity.

If this does not work you may have a defective mouse, but it should work.

Mouse Stops Responding

You need to reset the mouse and keyboard to the sensor. On the sensor(base) you should have a button and under the mouse you should have also a button. Press the sensor(base) button first and quickly the one under the keyboard and mouse. If the doesn't work shut down the system, unplug the mouse and keyboard sensor(base) and re-plug it back in . Start the system and try the process again.

PS/2 mouse port not working?

Hello fredbeer,

Besides the obvious checking with your device manager, you can download a port test kit HERE. That will be able to test if it's working. The other thing you can do is switch the keyboard into the mouse port and the mouse into the keyboard port. You should get some errors, if not, one of them will work and the other won't. Hopefully, you'll get the keyboard in the mouse port to work, so you know the port is working. Also, if you have any other PS2 devices that you can test it with.

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating based on my solution.

Thanks

Mouse and keyboard not recognized on second computer

Solution for the mouse. I have 8 KVM's. Most of my computers work with the KVMs. On 1 inland KVM the logitect and Microsoft optical mice do not work on one computer (but work with the other computers). They both are USB. I hook them up with a USB to PS2 adapter. If I use a ps2 ball mouse connected to the KVM the mouse works. All the Mice work if I directly connect them. Since I do not want a ball mouse I got a Frisby optical PS2 mouse. It works with all the computers on the KVM's.

I do not have a solution for the Keyboard yet. 1 computer (ASUS MB) on my trendnet or belkin 4 postion KVM does not recognize the keyboard.

Wireless keyboard doesnt work with switch

once you have switched pc you will need to re-sync the wireless keyboard and mouse with the new pc, because although you have switched pc the keyboard and mouse do not know this. there should be a reset/resync button on the bottom of both the keyboard and mouse
