The tray on the side that sorts and stacks will not reset?
The trays are separated and when you make copies the paper just jams. Plus the trays are all the way up and it is trying to use the bottom tray which is even worse. It wont even make one copy. Please tell me how to reset the stack trays. Thanks.
your best bet to use the copier if the sorter is still not working is to unpug it from the copier and detach it.

Issues with the paper feed could include:
Feeding multiple pages.
Misfeeds the paper.
Printed pages are not stacked neatly.
"No Paper Fed" or "Paper Jam" messages appear on the LCD.
To prevent these issues, try the following recommendations:
Verify the paper is loaded properly in the paper tray and the paper support flap is unfolded.
Pull the paper tray out of the machine and remove the output paper tray.
Remove the paper from the paper tray.
Pull the paper support out and unfold the paper support flap.
Fan the stack of paper well to avoid paper jams and misfeeds.
Gently insert the paper into the paper tray print side face down and the leading edge (top of the paper) in first. The paper should be flat in the tray and below the maximum paper mark. Be sure you do not push the paper in too far as it may lift at the end of the tray and cause feed problems.
Press and slide the paper guides on the sides of the paper to fit the paper width.
Clean the paper pick-up roller

Put the paper tray firmly back in the machine.
Re-connect the power cord.

Before loading the paper, you need to hold the stack of paper, and then tap it to make the stack even on all sides. Ensure that the paper adjusters on the tray are positioned in a right manner. Push the stack of paper into the tray until it stops. Never try to force the paper too far in the tray.
Unlatch and pull out the paper tray. Try pulling out the sheets in the middle of the "half stack" first. You should have less friction there. While you have the paper tray out, examine the rectangular cork paper separator strip on the right-hand side of the back corner. If it's worn or missing, that would explain how the jam got started.
Most error codes can be cleared by removing the paper jam and then rebooting the machine. When an error code occurs, make a note of the code and then follow the instructions on the control panel for clearing it.
Paper jams can be caused by a variety of issues in the copy machine, but jamming can commonly be caused by improperly loaded paper in the trays or dirty paper feed rollers.
If you get repeated paper jams, remove the paper from the trays and inspect the stack. Look for folded corners, especially on the bottom of the stack. Fan the paper thoroughly and then reload the stack into the tray. Check the paper guides to ensure they are not too tight or too loose. Both conditions can cause paper jams.
If you can see the paper transport rollers by opening the ordinary access covers and panels inside the machine, cleaning them might help reduce paper jams. Shut the machine off and unplug it, then take a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water and wipe those rollers off. A buildup of toner and paper dust can cause them to slip while transporting the paper.
