Testimonial: "Aha, so that's where it's hidden. Thanks, Vijay! I was confused by the headline of "My Solution" - I was looking for something that said "Your Answers" or "My Answers.""

1. How to add another comment in a question or answer in FixYa.
2. How to fill in a comment for the person who stated a solution in FixYa.
1.
Go to www.fixya.com .
Login with your FixYa username and password: Sign In in the page top. After a successful login, the Sign In mode will change to Sign Out.

Click My Profile in the page top for a list of your questions.
Select the required question or answer from the list.
Being logged in you are able to add a new comment in exact the same question or answer.

2.
Use the link in your mailbox of FixYa.com to go to your question and see the answer in internet explorer in FixYa.
To be able to add a comment, login with your FixYa username and password: Sign In in the page top.
After the login, the screen will view the question link from the mailbox again and the Sign In mode will show up as Sign Out.

Now you are able to add a new comment in exact the same question, for the person who posted the solution.
When this person is reading his/her mailbox as well, he or she is able to view your comment in FixYa and when willing to reply, he or she can write back an answer in your question.
Another mail will be posted in your mailbox with a link to the same question you've made from the start.
This way a dialog to the solution can be made between you and the person who answers, adding new comments in the same question.

How do you answer questions that appear in the Search section of the iPhone app? There are some that definitely have alternative answers that the user may appreciate. I just don't see the "solve it" b

I can't remember exactly how I started answering questions.
1) You can contact fixya. Do a google seach for 'contact fixya?'
Here is long answer:
2) I think I began in the following way: Down at bottom of page are categories, example such as computers and electronics.
Select a category and a page comes up with subset of topics.
Click on one of those subsets, and another page comes up showing more specific list of products, with 'problems/solutions.'
Select problems. And a list of problems comes up, and these are usually dated, and not the current list of problems.
Click one of the problems:
Start answering these problems, and fixya monitors the quality of answers.
3) At some point I discovered 'My Home' page by clicking on my sign-in name at top right corner of page.
Was it always there? Maybe, and I just didn't notice.
Currently, I click on my name to arrive at 'My Home'
And the My Home link appears on left side of page short ways down from top of page.
My Home is evidently unique to my IP address, and sign in.
Maybe you have that page already.
Below link for My Home is link for Answer, My products, My Friends.
I click on Answer link and expanded menu appears with general topic categories. And a full list of current questions appears.
Or click on a topic from the expanded menu, and list of current questions appears about the specific topic.
Click on any question to read the question, and below question is answer box where you answer current question.
Many times the questions are posted under products that have nothing to do with the question. For example automotive questions posted under water heaters. etc
I do not control what questions are filtered to my IP address, but am reasonably certain that I see a selected number of questions asked under that category.
4) How do you find a specific question that was asked and answered before, so that you can add a comment?
Contact fixya?
Otherwise, I don't know. Unless you google search the exact same question, and the link at fixya shows up in the search parameter, and then you can add a comment.
5) Add a webpage to your website that is titled exactly like the question, and maybe google will link to that page.

Hi, I asked a question on Sept. 12 regarding my leaking refrigerator, and paid, but I have not received any answer yet. My order number is 322728. How do I get my money back since I have not received...

To assure you jget an answer to your question, I suggest you upgrade the level of service you require. Paid Questions remain at the top of the list until answered while free questions simply slip into the abyss.

I believe I saw your qusiton in the free section and I have no idea how to help you, so I didn't reply. If you purchased upgraded service ... I guess I didn't see that and if I had - I still cannot help you.

FixYa.com does offer a service whre you can ask a particular expert a question and they offer yo a list from which to choose. Of course, the expert in question may or may not offer a answer. Rest assured, you will not actually be charged if you dont get an answer.

For more details, please review the terms of use page. FixYa.com reviews this list at arms length. If you require more detail than this volunteer (me) has provided, please contact the web site directly via e-mail utilizing the Contact link at the bottom of the page.

I believe I have helped you with this current question ... which I feel qualified to answer based on my limited experience here as a volunteer.

Thank you for your continued interest in FixYa.com

Printer Control Panel

I still need an answer to this problem. I have seen a similar problem listed on fixya, except this person had two printers and I have one. So, I feel like it's a question that has an answer without having to pay for assistance on this. Please provide me with an answer since it's within the realm of questions that are answered on fixya.
