I've connected my Toshiba Satellite Notebook (A135 series) to my Samsung 550 series LCD TV. I get an image, but it uses only a small part of the screen. There are large borders left, right, top, and bottom. Is there any way to have it use more of the screen? The p-size button on the Samsung remote only changes the screen size between the small image and a somewhat wider version that is the wrong aspect ration. TIA for any help.

Thanks so much. I will try that soon (Sunday?).

I'm using Vista. Went to display settings. There are two monitors to
choose from (the notebook screen, and the LCD TV). I selected the LCD
TV, and there is a slide bar to select screen resolution. It's set at
1024X768. Whenever I choose a different setting and click Apply, it
automatically resets to 1024X768. ?????
It's nominally a 40" TV. Manual says that is the diagonal measurement of the screen. Physical width of whole TV is 39.2"
Resolution is 1920 X 1080.
