To transfer photo from laptop to iPad, follow this steps.
1. In the iPad management screen, click the "Photos" tab at the top.
2. Check the "Sync Photos" box at the top.
3. From the drop-down menu next to that, select the program or folder that contains your photo library.
4. Once all your settings are correct, click the "Apply" button at the bottom right corner of the iTunes window to sync again and add photos to your iPad.
5. Photos will consume space on your iPad, so keep that in mind as you select between syncing all photos and individual albums and videos.

An easy way to transfer one photo would be to just email it to yourself and then download the photo from your email on the iPad.
The alternative option is to connect the iPad to your laptop and then open iTunes and sync the photo from your laptop to the iPad.

You can do this by plugging the iPad into your computer using the USB cable and opening iTunes - you will then see your iPad and you can physically drag and drop the photo into the iPad folder.

SOURCE: delete photos from my apple ipad

If to have the iPad before the camera was added, you have the original iPad. If you synced the photos from your computer, you have to remove the photos by syncing with iTunes again, but you have to "uncheck" the albums or folders that you want to remove.
1.Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
2.Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
3.Click on the Photos Tab on the right.
4.Uncheck all of the albums or folders that you want to remove from the iPad under the Sync Photos from heading.
5.If you want to remove all of the photos - uncheck the Sync Photos From heading
6.Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Want to transfer some photos from acer laptop, Windows 10, to my wife's Apple iPad.....???

You will need iTunes.

Plug your device into the computer and then when it pops up the summary of your iPad in iTunes (it will show your serial number and back up information) you will click on photos on the the left side.

You will then select "sync Photos" on the right side and you will be allowed to select what photo folder on your computer that you want to sync to the iPad.

It will make your life easier if you create a folder on your desktop with all the photos you want to sync.

Also, any photo that is synced to the iPad from the computer will not be able to be deleted off of the iPad. They will stay on there until you unsync them from the iPad via iTunes.

Try downloading an app called Shareit.
When attached to the same WiFi, you can transfer Photos directly from iPad to iPad and even between Windows and Andriod devices. You start Shareit on both devices and send from one and receive on the other.
