I can feel the pin depressing when I stick a wrench in the small hole on the filter door but it won't open when I twist the door. What am I doing wrong???
I did it! The trick was to push a small nail into the hole and push in on the filter door while rotating the door...all at the same time. The original problem was the water not draining and the washer displaying code E04. Just like a previous solution stated, there was one knee high sock in the drainage pipe.
You first of all need to
check the pump filter. This is
located at the bottom front right of washer. Look for a drop down flap or cover, once
located, unscrew filter anti-clockwise to remove and clean. Of course be prepared for a lot of water and
junk. The pump itself is directly behind
the filter housing, check there to see if anything is stuck in the plastic blades. It should turn freely. Your washer door will not open if there is
water in the washer, just some kind of precaution, so don't force the door.
