SOURCE: Logitech 900 remote won't change TV channels now

There are a number of reasons that this has occurred.
The simplest is that the batteries are low. Change the batteries first. Batteries last 2-3 months before they need replacement.
Try reprogramming the remote. Before you reprogram make sure that you have the latest firmware loaded from
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/440/5874?section=downloads&bit=&osid=1
One of these solutions should correct the problem. Let me know.
Thanks.

I want to program the digital channels onto numbers on the remote.

The remote will have a DASH or DOT key to let you enter the digital channel numbers directly,
as in: for digital channel 53.2, you'd enter "5" "3" DASH "2"

To program digital channels into a FAVORITEs list, you'd have to provide the Mfr/model
of the remote control itself...

Can't change the channel on RCA TruFlat. It just has a blue screen and says "14-3"

That RCA TV has only an older analog tuner, so if you're still using it for off-the-air reception you'll need to be using it with a digital converter. I'm assuming you are, since you say there's a channel number 14-3 being shown. The only way you'll see such a number is if it's coming from a digital converter, which will be sending the signal to the TV on channel 3 or 4 (on the TV's internal tuner).

There are several possibilities. One is that the converter isn't changing channels when you use its remote control. This is often caused by weak batteries, so try a fresh set. If your model of converter has channel up/down buttons on it (some do, but many require the remote for everything), try changing the channel manually.

If the converter isn't changing channels, you should try rescanning. The channel memory may have gotten cleared or corrupted for some reason. Also be sure the antenna is properly connected. With digital broadcasting, no antenna means no picture, guaranteed.

If everything else seems to be correct and the converter isn't finding any channels, you'll need to replace it. Unless it's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty or you have a replacement plan from the seller, you will need to purchase a new converter. They weren't designed to be serviced.

Dynex TV losing favorite channels

Try changing the batteries in your remote. If the batteries are weak they may not be sending strong enough signals to the TV thus sending different signals than you meant.

Can I reprogram channel 783 to channel 003

Well unfortunately, the Harmony 520 doesnt support favorite channels (I dont think). However, you can certainly set this up as a sequence.

1. In the software, click 'Customize Buttons' next to the icon for your Watch TV Activity.
2. Click 'Add Sequence'
3. Name your sequence 'CBS' and add the commands '7', '8', and '3'.
4. Save the sequence.
5. In the button customization for the number '3' button (or any button you want), select 'Sequence' as the deivce name and 'CBS'.
4. Save, and update the remote.

If you used the '3' button, then now in your Watch TV Activity, is you press the '3' button the remote will send 783.

Hope that helps:)

How to program favorite channels in the harmony 520 remote by logitech

The Harmony 520 remote does not support Favorite Channels.

However, you can set this up by creating a sequence to send the number commands for a specific channel, then map the sequence to a button. See the following link for a walk through of how to do that.

http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9185
The article is for a Harmony 1000, but it is the same process for any remote that supports sequences.

I am trying to set up the "favorite channels" function on my harmony 880 remote and I keep getting an error message that the channel numbers are not valid. On my TV, for example, NBC is 05-1 (that's what I...

I have seen channel designations like this when using a satellite TV provider. From what I know (which is not a lot, I'm afraid) is that some affiliates offer analog and digital and digital sub channels so an example would be:

05 (main analog channel)
05-1 'digital' (depending on the receiver)
05-2 'digital sub channel'
05-3 'digital sub channel'
etc

So, you may want to try just putting in the main channel '05' when using the Logitech software to program your favorites. Below is a link to a good post on the Logitech forum that tells how to program your favorites. Hope this helps!

Only receive 2 channels.

Can you punch in the channel numbers directly to go to the channels, but just not tune to them with the Channel Up/Down buttons?
If so then try tapping the favorite button on the remote until the screen shows "favorite mode off". This mode likes to stay [or perhaps turn] on when you scan for channels, but scanning clears everything in the favorite list except for the channel you are on when you start the scan (so it seems), thus leaving only one or two channels showing up. (This happens whenever I re-scan for digitals.)
To pick out favorite channels, go into the channel menu in the tv menu and with "Favorite: Analog" or "Digital" highlighted near the top, hit OK on the remote to toggle favorite status.
