I cant get any video playback via LCD or via TV?

The LCD shows up as normal in record mode, but when I go to playback mode (LCD still working) the tape comes on briefly and goes back to the blue screen but the tape carries on playing? I can fforward and rewind but still JUST the blue screen?

    Same deal plays, nothing date changes to jan 1 2005 and blue screen. all functions work but no playback. help

    yea same ere but when i push play it stays blue and then changes to a fuzz and then back to blue we cant watch it even on pc

Ah solved it cheap and quick way is 2 get a cotton bud and rub it on the head several times and it worked for us get cleaning may not need cleaning tape afterall

The playback head is dirty. Insert a brand new tape into the drive and perform a record, through the entire tape until it reaches the end. Then play a pre-recorded tape.

There are many worldwide TV channels like ABC, NBC, CBS, TNT, ESPN so that we can enjoy movies as we like. Is it possible to record TV shows? Of course, yes. You may find DVRs, TiVo Premiere to record your favorite TV series. You can also use TV tuner to record videos. PCTV nanoStick is one of the USB DVB-T TV tuners, which you may use to record ABC/TNT/ESPN videos.
If you record TNT video files on PC with PCTV nanoStick, you may find the output videos in .ts format. The TiVo Premiere can also produce .ts videos. To play the recorded videos on computer via home network, you may find the .ts file format is not a good choice. The general However, you can convert .ts to .mp4 for easy playback on computer players like Windows Media Player, VLC media player, QuickTime Player.
Here are the simple steps to convert recorded TV shows to computer for easy playback.
Step 1. Load recorded ABC/TNT/ESPN videos to Aunsoft Video Converter.
Run Aunsoft Video Converter as the TS Video Converter on your PC, and click the "Add" button to load the recorded videos for conversion.
Step 2. Choose H.264 MP4 output.

Have a toshiba tp 61H95 proj TV- want to connect panasonic dvd recorder and toshiba vhs recorder so I can copy family videos to dvd- can't get hook ups set up for both to work.
Select AV-1 or some thing in TV and plug DVD recorder Video-Audio output in AV-1 input of TV, playback any DVD and confirm its picture and sound in TV. Press Stop button of DVD recorder to stop playback.
Now plug Video-Audio output of VCR in DVD recorder input and select AV Input in DVD recorder, insert VHS tape in VCR and playback it and confirm you get VHS picture and sound in TV via DVD recorder.
Hookup between TV, DVD recorder and VCR is completed.
Playback VHS tape in VCR, Insert blank DVD disc in DVD recorder and press Record while you see VHS tape picture in TV.

It seems to me that you have only got one set of RCA Cablec between the TV and VCR ( from VCR Video out to TV Video In), as such the VCR only works in playback mode, you need a second set of RCA cables (from TV Video Out to VCR Video In) then select the appropriate input (Video) for the VCR. make sure to follow the colour coding on the RCA plug / socket arrangement

Audio in playback mode doesn't work
Hi There, Try this: Connect you camcorder to your tv set via a/v input cable. Put camera in cam mode so you can see the picture on the tv. Turn up the volume on tv and if it squeels, the mic on the cam is ok. Record something and then play it back on the tv, if its ok, then all your audio is functioning. This means that the SPEAKER on your camera is defective.

That's because this is a quad. It compresses all 4 video feeds into 1 file. When you play it back, it decompresses the video and shows you each camera. Playback through this unit is the only way to see 1 camera at a time. 
To be able to copy 1 camera shot to a DVD, this is what you need to do: You need to have a TV with Video in and Video out jacks.  Connect the Quad to the TV Video in jack and connect the TV Video out jack to your DVD Video in jack. Playback a single camera shot on the quad to the TV and hit record on your DVD. - The DVD will record whatever is shown on the TV.

How tu use video recording..
Hi,

The picture that I posted shows a TZ3 mode dial. I added a blue arrow to point out an icon on the mode dial.

1. Turn the mode dial on the camera so this icon is selected.
2. Switch on the camera.
3. Aim the camera at your subject, press the shutter button halfway to focus, then press it fully to begin the video. (Just as you would take a picture.)
4. To stop taking video, press the shutter button fully again.

~When a video starts being taken, its current length will appear on the camera's LCD screen.
~Videos take up more space on the memory card than do pictures.
~If an SD memory card becomes full while recording, then the video will stop automatically.
~Videos can be played back on the camera's "PLAYBACK" mode. They can also be viewed on a TV or downloaded to a computer.

I have a canon SD 580. When I playback the video clip it's always in fast forward mode and I can't play it normal speed. Any help?
Make sure you are shooting your movies in "Standard" mode. If you have the mode set to something else, especially "Time Lapse", the playback may not match 'natural' motion.

In any case, you can control the speed of the playback. When you first enter the movie playback mode, there should be a movie control bar along the bottom of the LCD. Instead of the "Play" button, select the "Slow Motion Playback" button (single arrow with single bar next to the normal Play button), and control the speed with the left or right arrows on the multi-controller.
