When you say 'load', do you mean when you boot the machine?

Or are you trying to install norton?

Hi there,

although, not specified what you did but i presume 2 actions:

1. Running the program and cannot be completely loaded, it means that there's a program that block your Norton Internet Security 2008 to run, and that might be a Virus or Trojan. or someone is hacking in your pc (might be). and this will happen, if your Norton Internet Security 2008 is not updated and/or you install an internet plug ins in some of your visited website and through that plug ins the website administrator has a link in your pc to access, but not all.

solution: try to uninstall and fresh install your Norton Internet Security 2008 but before you do that make sure that you have a supported docs like cd key and response code from Norton if any, to successfully install your anti virus. and before you install, unplug your connection from internet (install offline, after installation, update it and scan your pc).

2. you install your Norton Internet Security 2008 and cannot be completely loaded, it means that Norton program is corrupted. please have a fresh copy in cd if any and install it.

Have norton all-in-one-security but won't load

error message actually points to a LiveUpdate problem, which could just be a problem with your installation. Instead of uninstalling Norton and reinstalling it, please try the procedure below.

Please click on the link below and follow the instructions carefully.

Fix for LiveUpdate Error

After you complete the steps in this document, please check that your LiveUpdate settings by doing the following:

1. Launch Norton Internet Security from Start-.>All Programs->Norton Internet Security,> and then choose "Norton Internet Security" from the sub-menu.

2. Click on the "Norton Internet Security" tab at the top of the window.

3. Click on the arrow next to "Settings" to expand it's options.

4l. Next click on "Automatic LiveUpdate." It should say "On." If not please click on it and then click on the "Turn On" button. When Automatic LiveUpdate is turned on, as long as you are connected to the internet and logged in to Windows, LiveUpdate will check for and install updates up to 3 times per day. This is the best way to keep Norton Internet Security up to date and running smoothly.

Maps not loading

Yes the setting in Norton is uninstall. It is a resource hog with it's own agenda.Internet security is built in to the system (your firewall) Norton trys to replace them with it's own tags. AVG antivirus is free and blows Norton away.So bye bye Norton .You will also notice an increase in speed.

I am attempting to install Norton Internet Security 2009. My McAfee Internet Security 2008 runs out in two days. Norton has indicated that I will have to remove an amount of existing programmes (about 20!)...

Norton will not replace the programs.

As long as you have the program disc, just re-install them after installing Norton.

Back up all data (saved documents) first.
