SOURCE: nikon D70 flash doenot fire

According to my information, the camera may need a new flash PCB (printed circuit board). Check the repair service search on this site for someone in your area. The part number for the circuit board is: 1S014-020-1 and runs about 50$

SOURCE: Nikon D50 Flashes Err and clicks

hi..
This screen shows areas of the photo that are overexposed slightly.
It flashes them to help you.
You get to this screen by pressing the up or down arrows when displaying the pictures you have taken.

To change it just press the up arrow when the camera is showing the screen until you get a display without flashing.

Once you have done this the display will be steady.
If you get any other screen in future you may have accidently pressed the arrow again.
Just cycle thru the displays to get back to steady.

thank u

SOURCE: Nikon S210 flash not working

The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?

What replaces pictureproject with the coolpix L10 ? will nikon view NX2 work for coolpix L10 ?

Picture Project was replaced by Nikon Transfer and Nikon ViewNX2. Both of those programs will work perfectly well with the L10. You can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from
http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

Once the pictures are on your computer, you can use View NX2 to look at them and do some editing.

How do set the self timer in Nikon F70

Press the SET/timer button (top left of the camera, behind the FUNCTION button, marked SET with a one-handed clock icon) and confirm that the one-handed clock begins blinking on the LCD panel. While pressing the SET/timer button, rotate the command dial one click to stop it blinking. Proceed normally (frame and compose picture, half-press shutter release button to meter and autofocus, etc). Fully depress the shutter release button to take the picture after a ten-second delay.

If you need a manual, you can download one from http://www.butkus.org/chinon/nikon.htm . Look for "N70", which was the name used in the USA.

Trying to figure out how to use the timer on my Nikon Coolpix S570

Press the self-timer button (left of OK).

Press up or down to choose either two second or ten second delay.

Frame the picture and press the shutter release halfway to set focus and exposure.

Press the shutter button the rest of the way. The self-timer starts, the remaining number of seconds shows on the display, and the self-timer lamp blinks.

After the picture is taken, the self-timer reverts to OFF.

To cancel the self-timer, press the shutter release button again.

Fuller details can be found in the manual under "Taking Pictures with the Self-timer."
