Hi, When I click pictures the flash does not work. The button that opens flash settings also does not respond. But when I click pictures using self timer the flash works, and the button for flash settings also works fine. What could be the problem?

According to my information, the camera may need a new flash PCB (printed circuit board). Check the repair service search on this site for someone in your area. The part number for the circuit board is: 1S014-020-1 and runs about 50$

on the top of the camera, there is a dial which says QUAL, WB and ISO. Look for button and ring just below this. It should say S, CL, CH, Lv, a clock and Mup. Press the button to release the ring and rotate it to the clock icon to activate self timer

hi..
This screen shows areas of the photo that are overexposed slightly.
It flashes them to help you.
You get to this screen by pressing the up or down arrows when displaying the pictures you have taken.
To change it just press the up arrow when the camera is showing the screen until you get a display without flashing.
Once you have done this the display will be steady.
If you get any other screen in future you may have accidently pressed the arrow again.
Just cycle thru the displays to get back to steady.
thank u

The flash has been working fine until last night when I tried to take a picture and the flash was set to auto. When I press the button the little red light beside the flash sign lights up, but the camera does not take the photo. When I set it to flash mode, it still won't take a photo. When I turn off the flash, then it does. What could be the problem? Is it in the settings?
