STUCK ON STANDBY MODE

IBM T22 WOULD NOT START.

    My system freezes on the windows boot screen. after using all the restart options it sometimes starts correctly, but when I shut down or restarts the problem re occurs

    Could you be a little more specific? Is it stuck on standby mode? Is it all the way off and won't come back on? What have you tried? etc Tell me everything you know.

Ok, I want this off my screen. If it is stuck in standby mode as you say, press and hold the power button until the computer goes "dead." Then turn it back on. If this doesn't work, unplug it and take the battery out for a while.

IBM Thinkpad T22 doesn't have Wi-Fi adapter installed. you need a USB Wi-Fi adpater in other to have Wireless connection.

You can go for D-Link, 3COM,belkin USB Wi-Fi adapter. Make sure the USB Wi-Fi adapter support the Operating System you installed.

IBM T22 laptop can't get it to start and not battery or charger.
What may have happened is that your power supply may have malfunctioned. I would try to plug another cable (new and functional) just to deny that this is the problem.

Sounds expensive, I'm afraid!

Here is IBM'smag-glass_10x10.gif explanation of the error codes.

What your machine is telling you is that a chip on your Motherboard is faulty and the only way to repair it is a new system board.

It is probably worth finding out how much IBM would charge you to repair it but I very much doubt you'd get much change from £500.

either you have a virus or a corrupted dll file.
eitherway, beside create a bootable CD or Floppy disk, and try to fix from there, thats' time a money.
the next best thing, is to reinsall the operating system.
the other option is get a new hard drive and install the operating system on that so you can preserve the data you have on the old one.
