If you have vista, go into the start menu and select "all programs." Scroll down to the "toshiba" folder and click once. Click "utilities" and under that is "toshiba assist." Right click it and select "pin to start menu." Go back to the main start menu and it will be near the top. Drag it onto your desktop. Then you can unpin it from the start menu by right clicking it and selecting "remove from this list." If this is a fix make sure to rate it as such. If not, post a comment explaining the problem and I will get back to you in a few minutes.

Absolutely perfect assist - simple instructions that gave a 100% fix.
is that the assist from Toshiba that comes with install? that would be through explore programs toshiba
find the icon for that program right click on it, and make a shortcut
drag it to the desktop
that is assuming that you can find it through explore.
