Hole in Maytag Neptune front load washer door and flaking or melting of door.

it can be quite tricky to fit, you can buy one,I would however advise to get a supply/fit quote from an engineer as he will get discount on the part, unless you are good diy person ,get hired help....

there is a drain hole at the very bottom of the sump
about 1/4 in
if you ahve any other holes you will need a new boot
there is no real way to patch them, most patches will not flex enough to stay in place

the best way to get one over on sears is to order it
then you cazn either fix it kinda hard but id walk you through it
or when the part arrives shedule service, just tell them its leaking

only when the tech gets there tell them you have a boot
sears hates self diagnostics and you will go to the bottom of the list

If you can get to it you can use an epoxy made for metal or something like jb weld to patch the holes.

It sounds like the door gasket has failed. Looks like you will need to get it replace. I don't know of any easy way to get around replacing the gasket.

Check the door boot (typically grey rubber bellows looking ring around the door opening that keeps the water in the tub from leaking) for cuts.

This sounds like a center seal kit, they run around $80.00 they are complecated to install so I would suggest getting someone to install for you.

You should have a drain at the bottom of the rubber boot inside the washer. There is a possibility the drain hose clamp came loose or the boot has a hole in it. If you take the front of the washer cabinet off, you should be able to see where the water is coming from. Take the two screws out of either side of the door opening, pull on both sides of the front panel at the same time, tilt downward, and the panel should come off.

u can take front off by removing screws from around inside door frame (including hinge screws) the panel will pull out towards u then u might be able to c where its leaking better

The right front corner is possibly a low spot where the water is runnung to. Two possible points of the leak are the main door boot could have a tear in it or the drain pump could have a hole. It is possible to look inside of your machine while it is running. First I must warn you to take care and not touch anything inside while there is power to your machine. First open the door and you will see 2 screws on the left and 2 screws on the right sides. one pair of screwws will mount the hinges and the other set goes through a small triangular bit of metal. remove the screws and leave the door in place. The sides of the front panel between the door and edge of the machine will rotate outward slightly and the whole front panel will pull forward. at about 45 degrees the panel can be lifted off of the lower supports and placed out of the way. You will now be able to run the machine and observe exactly where the leak is coming from. Again all of the electrical connections you see are live when the machine is plugged in so do not reach inside of your machine.
