There can be problems when iOS is upgraded. Get the latest version with the latest bug fixes. Watch the Viper app for version changes and download it when it gets updated. Check the Viper support web site:

It sounds like your phone is getting stuck in "Dock Mode" where it disables the sound of your phone while docked. I would make sure you have the latest iOS (update your phone through iTunes. Reset your router and reconnect to Youtube. Its a Youtube problem, having issues connecting to you. It could also mean Youtube is under maintenance. If that doesn't work just try refreshing until the video appears. And if THAT doesn't work come back later.
Sounds like you may be out of an area that isn't getting a signal, try it when connected to wifi! Also if it is jail broken, one version of software early on caused utube to not work. Hope this helps. Merry Christmas!
