Bosch Nexxt series washer - water in softener dispenser

I have a front loading Bosch. There is always water in the fabric softener dispenser after the wash load is finished. This just started about a month ago. What is causing this and how can I fix the problem?

I have removed the dispenser and have cleaned it as best I could. There is still water in the tray after a complete wash cycle. I was hoping for solution for this issue as the sympton must indicate a problem somewhere.

I have the same problem, water accumulates in the fabric softener dispenser. I have cleaned the dispenser and still have this issue. It didn't happen until 6+ months after I installed the washer. There must be a clog somewhere.

I have the exact same problem, fabric softener is always filled with water after a load. My washer is now 3 years old. It has always had a tiny little bit of water in fabric softener dispenser from the first day we bought it. Usually about one tablespoon. I have an extended warranty. The first time I called, they came and swapped out the dispense, said it was warped. 3 months later, and I am still seeing it fill completely up after every wash. This time it's 10 tablespoons. Yes, I counted. If anyone can provide assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have the same problem with my fabric dispenser. Bosch replaced the dispenser, the smart board, told me the water was entering the machine at to much of a force, close the dispenser lid, you name it. Finally the solution was to replace the machine. I have had the new one 1 year and guess what....the 2nd machine is doing the same thing. My origional problem started in May of 06. Bosch has to know there is a problem

Hi. Remove dispenser, and thouroughly clean.
This should solve problem. If problem persists, don't worry about it tomuch, as long as it takes the conditioner down that is the main thing.

Fabric softener dispenser fills up with clear water after washing cycle is complete. I do not use fabric softener .

Purchase some fabric softener and place it in its normal location at the beginning of the cycle. At the end of the cycle check to see if fabric softener has been dispensed and whether there is water in the cup.

If the fabric softener is gone, but there is water in the fabric softener cup, then your problem may be with the water valve assembly. The water valve assembly (as one complete unit) has a separate solenoid for hot and cold water temperatures, bleach and fabric softener. The fabric softener solenoid on the water valve assembly could be defective (allowing water to fill the fabric softener cup).

Water stays in rinse dispenser (fabric softener) when cycles are completed.

  • Hi,
Try these:
  1. Inspect the drain hose for kinks
  2. Test the timer control
  3. Test the lid switch (some models)
  4. Inspect the water pump
  5. Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
  6. Inspect the motor coupler

Some water backs up in the softener dispenser??

Service was here today and tilted the machine backward about 2-4 degrees. This solved the problem. Now fabric dispenser fully empties. Since the machine is 2.5 year old it is possible that over time it settled. I think though it is more likely the cold water dual inlet solenoid that is a bit constricted. If this fix does not last I will change it.

I had the same problem. the only thing that works for me is fulling the fabric softener compartment all the way to the top with water then it will syphon down! it adds it to the load at the start instead on the rinse cycle but its better then nothing!
