If it died while in use and you can't pull the starter cord the engine might have locked up was the oil/fuel mixed properly?remove the cover and see if the flywheel can turn

If the fuel mixture was done impropperly, how do I best remedy the problem? I have drained the wrong mixture, but want to know if I should manually lubricate or do anything else to the engine before refueling with the propper mixture and running the blower.

Either it is frozen in which you can use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the rewind or the spring may be broken. Check out this youtube video

Brand new snowblower. Engine will not start

Stuck? you mean if you try to use the pull starter the engine will not let you pull the cord out?
Will it not start OR is the engine frozen. help us with your description
Take the Spark Plug out and see if that helps it turn over. Maybe the float in the Carburetor is stuck open and the cylinder filled with gas Causing Hydrolock.

My 4514 Honda has a snow blower for the winter . It keeps stalling and the fuel pump never shuts off so I guess isn't pressurizing . I pulled the fuel line at the carb & it is pumping gas ....

sounds as if there is sticky gum in the carb that is keeping the float from seating unless it is hot enough to unstick. Take the carb bowl off and examine it for gum (real old gasoline will do that.

Why is my security light blinking and wont start?

The most common problem is your lock cylinder.
The lockcylinder is equipped with spring loaded contact to touch the chip on the key. After years of use the spring collapse.
Disconnect the battery, remove airbag, remove steering wheel, remove column cover, disconnect orange wire under the dash, turn ignition switch to running position and push the locking pin with small pick . Pull the old cylinder out (tight fishing cord to the end of the orange wire before you pul and use the cord to pul the new one back)
Buy AC Delco plain cylinder and rekey to your old key.you're saving money from reprogramming the new key
Install in revers order
Good luck

Blower stopped working Empire Stove Model # RH655 Ser T40891422

Beth, first check the blower's cord to be sure that it's still plugged into the wall outlet. Also, check your home's circuit breaker panel for a tripped circuit breaker, that is feeding that outlet.

On the mechanical side there's 3 things that need to be done:

1. Check the Fan Control by shorting across the terminals.
2. Check for blower wheel binding, by removing the wheel and operating the motor.
3. Check for frozen bearing due to a lack of oil.

To further help you with a parts breakdown, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your Model. You can download & print it if you like.

If you continue to have a problem with it , contact Empire Comfort Systems Technical Service @ 800-851-3153.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Black and decker blower cord smokes when pluged in and trigger is pulled

Suggest you not use this equipment. Either you or someone else could be shocked. If the blower cord is getting hot, so is the drop cord. Something may melt and cause a fire. My guess is a short in the blower unit itself, which should only be addressed by a professional or replaced if too old to fix.
