SOURCE: meade LX200GPS telescope

The front panel for the telescope has an internal fuse. Remove the screws and look at the circuit board for a fuse. Replace with the same type and rating. The telescope has a diode with the fuse that gives some protection against reverse polarity, and the telescope should function on this fix.

SOURCE: problem with lx200gps meade telescope

It might be a voltage or electrical current problem. Make sure your DC power supply is between 12 and 14 volts. Make sure all electrical connections are tight. Where the power cord plugs into the connection panel, make sure the center pin on the panel fits tightly into the plug. It is a Radio Shack type "N" plug. If tou still have a problem, remove the bottom plate from the scope base and make sure all the connectors are properly seated on the circuit board. Check the connector on the end where the black and red wires are. That is a main power connector and if it is too loose it will not conduct enough current. There can be enough voltage drop that the drive motors won't operate, or they will and the scope will slew uncontrollaby. Be careful handling the wires so that you don't damage them. Good luck, Dave

SOURCE: Meade DS-2000 Manual Doesn't have info. about Meade Ds-2130

ds-2000 refers to the model line of the scope. ds-2130 the 130 refers to the diameter of the objective lens in mm. I have a ds-2114. Where the objective lens is 114 mm in diameter. as far as the manual goes everything else should be the same.

Meade DS 2000 Goto Reflector scope. I am looking for the base goto motor assembly housing witch houses the motor and gears. Can anybody please help?

You cannot actually get parts for this scope other than from Meade directly-- and possibly a USED motor on Ebay. Usually Meade wants you to send in the scope for repair and will not sell you any gears or motors.

I am looking for a manual for the Konus Digimax 90. They don't seem to be available. Can anyone help please?

No Konus manuals anywhere on the internet. However Meade and other manuafacturers do have manual web sites.

Look on this site under the REFRACTOR or the 4.5 inch Reflector heading. They all assemble in a similar fashion. So a Meade manual may help you figure out your telescope.

Anyone know where I can find an owners manual, or a copy of one, for a Meade telestar Model 114AZ.

All of Meade's manuals are on this web site. Look under the REFLECTOR heading.

I don't know how to use the telescope. It didn't come with directions on how to use it or put a few pieces together.

Since all reflectors and German equatorial mounts work about the same anyone familiar with telescopes can show you how to use it. No manual needed. Just contact a local club for the help you need. There's a strong bias against Tasco since so much of their stuff is junk, or "toy" telescopes.

and look at this web site under the header 4.5 inch REFLECTOR for a manual similar to your telescope. They all go together the same way.

maybe this one is similar to your scope. ?

Difficult to find manuals for small telescopes. However Meade maintains a web site for all of their telescopes. Look under the REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR headings for a manual similar to your telescope. They all go together about the same.

Never heard of that brand. But all newtonian/reflector style telescopes work the same way.

Look around the Meade telescope manual web site for a reflector scope similar to your telescope.
