Washer would start making funny noises and stop. Then after I re started the washer I came in to the laundry room and water was all over the floor. I removed all the clothing out of the washer and re started again to see what would happen. Water then started coming out of the detergent drawer???

Remove the dipenser and feel down inside the hole. You will probably feel a detergent build up in the cavity. If so clean this out and rinse with hot water. This problem is becoming more common since people are washing more in cold water to save electricty. Some detergents and fabric softeners will not disolve in cold and it "gums" up the works. Post back to let me know what you find.

There is a rubber hose that connects dispenser housing to outer tub of washer. Disconnect hose at outer tub and fish out article of clothing that has wedged itself in there cuasing water to back up and pour out of dispenser. In the future use a linen bag for small articles of clothing such as underwear and socks.

w would immagine that if you have water pouring out from your dispensor that something has found its way down into the the dispensor hose leading to the tub and is bl;ocking free passage of wwater. you can remove the top off the machine and check the dispensor to tub hose for possible debris/ sock/washcloth. ive even seen the pull tab from the top of the detergnet bottles in there

I have read other folks say that this has happened to them when a sock or wash cloth gets stuck behind the rubber seal of the door. There is a pipe that drains the water from your detergent tray and it may be clogged with a sock. Try feeling around behind the rubber seal in proximity to the detergent tray and see if there is a piece of clothing stuck in the pipe that drains the detergent tray. Also remove the tray and check the pipe from that end too.
Testimonial: "Thank you I took the tray out and checked. I did not find anything so I poured hot water in the tray with some bakingsoda and vinegar.. it fizzed and then 10 mins later... it drained.."
