The screen that you flip up in the enV2 blacked out this morning. I've only had it since August 2008 and haven't dropped it once on hard/rough surfaces (dropping my phone on beds and carpet don't count, I don't think.) The front screen works fine, and did not black out. The sound works fine, and I assume that all other functions are fine.

Walk outside with your phone in hand. with one hand, hold the phone firmly. with the other, grab a baseball bat. step out into your yard, or maybe the yard of a neighbor you don't like. throw the phone straight up in the air, then grab the bat handle firmly. swing away at that bad boy. fetch the phone and repeat the process if you are not fully satisfied with how your phone functions after one whack. hope this helps
Well take out the battery and put it back in or take it to a verizon store!
Its the wires in the prone that wear out and it doesnt matter ifu drop it or not (tho dropping it doesnt help) and once the wires in the hindges start to wear things like the front screen/buttons/inside screen stop working
Well that happend to me too but i learned that if u get a text press ok until ur at the point u text u open it up it should work but for a while it would be a lil staticy lookin then it will clear up.make sure u dont drop it if it works.my cousin dropped mine when i fixed it but now in doesnt work at all any other answers?
I have just had the same problem....a couple weeks ago i have dropped my phone n then inside screen blacked out and bout 3 days later it wuz fixed...now i dropped it again..but wat i dont get is that the: outside screen, the outside keyboard, the inner keyboard, and camera work but not the inner screen ughhh......do yu think it will be fixedd or not?
It is the wiring in the hinges of the phone. Call it built in obsolescence. Companies se to provide the verizon store with parts, but seem to have more value for your money that servicing the consumer. Im sure you could fix the phone hinge if you are persistent. P2TP

my phone was working fine! i picked it up to text and the screen was blank! i was so damn mad! so for about 2 months now i have had a blank screen unable to recieve txt's or send or see my pics. unable to txt with the phn open. and unable to change my ringtones that atre driving me nuts!!!

the flipped open screen of my phone completely blanked out too. sometimes there are weird lines or dots that will come across it, but clearly something is wrong. i can text and get texts with the front screen but sometimes that screen will blank out too! charging it, taking the battery in and out, and turning it off and on do not work. help!

My inner screen is black or twisted around my outer screen has pink lines pushed back...ive only had mine a day and its going nuts

Yes, I have the same exact problem. This has happened to me twice. I dropped it on a stone floor at my friend's house and the inside screen blacked out, while the outside screen worked just fine. I spent about ten minutes absolutely freaking out and texting every single one of my friends using the front screen and telling them I broke my phone. Then, it spontaneously decided to fix itself. This happened last Saturday. Then, today (Thursday) I dropped it in the locker rooms at school and it broke again. It has not fixed itself as of yet. Please help! I love my phone, but this really sucks! I'll be going to Verizon Wireless as soon as I can, but I'm not sure if the warranty covers this and if it doesn't, I know my parents aren't going to pay to get me a new one or get it fixed):

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! i'm thinking that the enV2 isn't that great of a phone. all my friends have the enV2 and they either have problems with the charger, the "ok" bottom on the outter keyboard, or they're inner screen is flashing. Me? i have all 3 problems and my parents won't buy me another 500$ phone. so.... WHAT TO DO?
