AMB 10000E Red light on the right of the control screen is on. What does this mean?
Seems to be working fine, but the red led light on the right of the screen is on and I cannot find a meaning in the handbook. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

the red light is for the collection bucket full switch , this is either a true or false condition , both require removal of the bucket and emptying and reseating it propely in its place
well you didnt mention model but most times this occurs on dehumidifyers it means the bucket full sensor has tripped , this does not mean that bucket is full, it just means that bucket is either not seated all the way in or maybe the sensor has moved in the bucket and no longer hits the sensor as it should , try reposisioning the bucket and full sensor , ck for looseness
Usually, when the red water full light glows, it means that the water collection bucket is full & needs to be removed and emptied. Once that's done and the bucket is reinstalled properly, the red light will go out and the unit will turn back ON.
Actually, the fan shouldn't be working if the water bucket is not installed properly. So, I believe it's more of a case of the electronic controls need to be reset.
To accomplish this, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 15 minutes. After the time as elapsed, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. The Bucket Full light should not, now be ON. And the unit can function as it should, after you reset the controls for maximum humidity extraction (32 - 35%).
Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
I have a DDR4588EE (same model with 45 pint capacity) and had the exact same problem. It's caused by the float at the top of the bucket being in poor contact with the "full" detector button. When the bucket is not full, the float on the bucket is supposed to press against the button. When the bucket fills, the float is supposed to push up off the button which causes the unit to stop and the red light comes on. The problem is that for some reason, the float isn't pressing hard enough against the button to push it properly in when the bucket isn't full. I fixed it by sticking a few little squares of duct tape (3 or 4 layers) on the float to make it press the button more firmly. Seems to be working fine now. Careful not to put too much tape or it might press too firmly which would result in the float not releasing the button when the bucket is full, and water will spill over.
first check that the bucket is in properly. then remove bucket and push red button with finger with the unit on. if you are still getting a red alarm light it might be time to change the control panel. also unit does not work the same in cold weather. it will cycle too often. unit better used in summer-------good luck
