I have disply problem screen width increase from both sides and pixel problem

on screen menu to adjust the aspect ratio or use the pixel settings to adjust screen size

If it is running the whole width of the screen then the screen is faulty. If you have only just purchased it, get it repaired under warranty.

make sure wether the disply of your monitor and graphics card supports the resolution if the monitor doesnt support sthe resolution you will not be able to increase the resolution the mobilor becomes black

As for your 15" LCD BENQ Monitor, "1024 x 768" pixels is the Maximum Resolution
If you increase your screen higher than the Maximum resolution you get a black screen! because the monitor cannot support the resolution higher than "1024x768" pixels.

Open an image. Go to the Image Menu and select Image Size. This is where you can change an image’s resolution and print size (width and height). The following Image Size dialog box will appear:

Notethat the width and the height of the image as you view it on yourmonitor is not necessarily representative of the image’s actual widthand height—i.e., the size it would print out at (print size).Average monitor resolution is 72 dpi. If you view a 72 dpi image at100% in Photoshop, chances are that it will appear on your screen inits actual print size. However, this is not true when viewing a 300 dpiimage. A 300 dpi image viewed on-screen at 100% will be enormous. It depends on which photo editor software you're using (some more effective than others). Canon usually ships your camera with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements. Choose "Sharpen" from the Edit toolbar.

Picture resolution is the total number of pixels in your picture (those little colored dots when you look really really close). It's expressed in megapixels and is simply the product of the number of pixels in the width of the picture times the number of pixels in the length. For example, a 7.1 MP camera takes images with a resolution of 3072 pixels width by 2304 pixels height ( 7.1MP = 3072 x 2304).

Pixels/inch refers to the resolution of your picture on some external viewing device (printer, computer monitor, etc...). It has nothing to do with the settings on your camera. It's equal to the number of pixels in the picture divided by the width of the displayed picture on the device. For example, an 8 x 10" printed picture has a width of 10 inches. If I wanted to take full advantage of my 7.1 MP picture by printing it as an 8x10, then I should look for a printer capable of printing 707,789 pixels/inch. Now I'm pretty sure there's no printer currently capable of this feat.

The example above shows that the rush for more megapixels is not necessarily where consumers or camera manufacturers should be focusing their attention. Most people really only need something around the 3MP range for printouts or display on their monitor screens.

the resolutiion dpi has little to do with the camera, its more about printing/displaying - that is just the screen display resolution. you can change that to 300 PPI (DPI) in most imaging applications. the important thing is the pixels you have length and width so 1000 pixels x 1000 pixels is the key to this whats the max pixels of the camera - that would give you the resolution. now to print an image onto paper the acceoted standard for top quality is 300 PPI so 1000 pixels width divided by 300 pixels per inch ppi = 3.3 so you can print at 3.3 inches. Now you may even be able to get away with as low as 180 PPI on some prints and depending on how far away it will be viewed - so this needs to be played with. - can you reply here - with a comment and tell us 1) how many pixels you have 2) what image editing software you are using 3) how big you would like to print
