As a first time user, the only way to start is to read (at least skim) through the user's guide. If you have no time for that and you need assistance with a particular question take the time to formulate it in an understandable manner. It would have been my pleasure to help you, if only I understood what you wanted. Please try again.

My comp won't boot

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

1992 Chevrolet Tahoe timing

timing on the chevy motors do not very much.
most of the older 350's timing are set about 8 deg before top dead center. some california smog certified 350 timing were set back to 0 deg or, at top dead center. check under the hood for a smog decal. it should have the timing specs, or it might say "timing not adjustable" or N/A. if it is missing the decal i would set it at 8 deg, road drive it, and listen for enging pinging on accelerating under load. if no ping i would leave it at 8 deg,if there is slight pinging i would ****** the timing in 2 deg increments until the pining stops. i would stop if i reach reach 0 deg or top dead center.

Why won't 1981 suzuki gs 550 bike won't start after riding it and it's warmed up?

hi
glad i served a long time with wisco and used drag raced for them at one time
sounds to me that your ignition is to far retarded
which means the ignition will spark closer to (TDC)
top dead center
some people advanced the ignition 3 deg to stop the engine from smoking when they did away with 4 star fuel
and gave us unleaded fuel
doing this the performance is great and fast acceleration
but it also make the engine run hotter than normal
unless you have up jetted the carbs
and fitted a non standard exhaust system
the whole idea is get the fuel/air mixture in and out as fast as possible

if you still have points
take your points cover off and adjust your points baseplate
undo the three screws that hold it in place
and just move it about 3 deg towards the rear of the engine
or may be you have a electronic ignition fitted
if so do the same thing
and advance the ignition 3 deg

hope this works for you

I switched the heating on a week ago and re-set programmes. It was clearly set to come on every weekday at 6.30am but kept switching on at 5.30am. To try to fix this, I tried pressing the reset button but...

Sounds like the original problem which is not truly a problem is that the Adaptive Recovery Setting was set to on which the Thermostat is self learning and if for example you set the thermostat to go to 70 deg. at a certain time it will turn the unit on early to achieve that setting at your designated time, and it will slowly learn and adapt itself to how long it takes to reach that setting from the previous setting. The next issue is that you have actually accessed the installer's settings page and you will need your manual to get out of this.

Changed plugs, plug wires, distributor, and rotor. Grounded neg wire for battery. Engine still missing. Not a fuel injection miss, but a miss you'd associate with plugs etc.

Did you check the ignition timing ? It should be for manual transmission 20+/- 2 deg BTDC

automatic transmission 20+/- deg BTDC

FYI---One time i dropped a new plug before i put it in and did not realize that the gap have closed up and started a bad miss..make sure all plugs are gaped correctly....could be something else but you can start here...Hope this helped ?

I have a maytag msd2456gew the fridge and freezer

We will need to test the compressor start component first. start relaym capacitor and overload, most times the problem is there and sometimes int its time to decide if the compressor is the problem or the start components. To leave it plugged in like this will surely damage the internal overload and windings. If you feel like you want to run the required test I will assist you. Sea breeze

PROBLEM W/ CASIO fx-260 SOLAR

Sorry, but I think you misunderstood what the manual says. See the not on the screen capture.
True the sentence is not very clear, but what it means is the following:
All modes (except COMP) will have an indicator (with the appropriate labeling) displayed. When in COMP mode the COMP indicator is not displayed.

The truth of the matter is that computation- wise you have two MODES only : the general COMPutational mode and the Standard Deviation (SD Statistics) MODE. These two are incompatible because the key layout is different.

But to compute trig functions
  1. calculator must not be in SD mode, hence it is in COMP mode
  2. An angle unit must be shown on display.
Read the screen capture about the MODES of this calculators. DEG,RAD, and GRAD remind the user that the angle units in trigonometric function calculations and coordinate conversions are in degrees, radians or grads. They have nothing to do with the other calculations you are doing.

874c328.jpg

You can only remove DEG by changing the angle unit to RADians or GRADs. In so doing, the new unit indicator (RAD, GRAD) will be displayed instead. There is no point worrying about the angle unit indicator unless you are performing coordinate conversions or calculating trigonometric functions or the inverse trigonometric functions.

MODE 9 cancels the FIX display format: decimal are displayed with a fixed number of decimal places (set by the user). After this key sequence the decimal display format reverts to NORM(al).
