We just purchased a 42" Vizio and when we first turn on the tv, the picture is green. Once we change the channel, we get a great picture. We tried it on different stations but they all start out green. Any suggestions???
Thanks in advance,
Emilie
We were on hold for an hour and then a message came on saying that no one was available......that did not go over to good.....So my bf called the number again and went to the sales department......that got results....he said he was on for an hour just to be hung up on.....with a few minutes someone called back and they are replacing the tv.....it seems to be on the hdmi connection of the tv itself....when we by pass it, the tv works good.......good luck....EmilieWe were on hold for an hour and then a message came on saying that no one was available......that did not go over to good.....So my bf called the number again and went to the sales department......that got results....he said he was on for an hour just to be hung up on.....with a few minutes someone called back and they are replacing the tv.....it seems to be on the hdmi connection of the tv itself....when we by pass it, the tv works good.......good luck....Emilie
I've just had the exact same thing happen with my brand new Vizio 42" LCD. Only the HDMI input is affected, but that is my only High-def connection. Maybe I'll have to replace mine too.
Emilie, I have the same issue. I have to press the input on the TV to go through all of the inputs and whenI get back to HDMI 1 it usually goes back to nomral - but sometimes that doesnt even work. I tried calling support, but waited 40 minutes and hung up.

The cable box have problems, tries replacing the incomming broadcasting connecting wires, that goes to the tv Tuner signal board. If u still have the same problems, call ur cable company for a cable box replacement.
tuner/decorder is gone out you would need to purchase a new decorder board for this. Try hooking up something on the scart connections and diagnost the tuner but if it does not change channels and its not turning off you got a problem with the decoder/tuner board.
Try pressing the MTS button on your remote while on the channel that does not have audio and select stereo. Most likely this will be set to SAP (secondary audio programming) and there is no SAP programming on that show. This is not something that could be avoided. It was during the channel scan, it locked in the SAP audio broadcasts for some reason.

An update...Vizio delivered a new TV and out of the box, it had no picture, sound but no picture. I think we are getting our sign.
