Hi - I was hoping you might be able to advise me of the 'pinout' information on my Bose Lifestyle 50 system. I want to connect the cable coming from the sub (which has a large din plug that connects to sub and a mini din the other end of the cable) into another cable (that I need to source perhaps get a custom made one) whereby the custom cable then split the wires into 5 pairs of speaker wire plus one for the sub connection to an amp. Bose have a cable which does just that in their Acoustimass 6 & 10 series speakers but the connection to the sub is a flat multi pin whereas mine is a round din plug. Is there somewhere I can get the cable I need made up - it was suggested to me that I would need the pinout information for the system I have before a custom cable could be made?
thanks tj
The 2 system are completely different your is low level input and its is having only 2 input L and R when those signal they get inside your sub it process through an DSP ( Digital Signal Processor ) and become 5 output to yours satellite cube speakers
The AM6 or 10 are high level input connected direct to any output of any AMP from those signal they convert down to low frequency for sub woofer
I do have a lifestyle 5 Bose system, the console and the command does not work anymore, can that be replace with a pre amp signal? How can I do it?
thanks
The Lifestyle
stereo amplifier is designed for use with Bose non-powered environmental speakers or
Bose non-powered accessory speakers ONLY
