The Plasma picture stays on about 30 seconds then we lose the picture and the red standby light comes on steady then begins to blink about 6 times then steady and then 6 blinks. What is wrong with our Panasonic TH-42PHW5 Plasma?
The six blinks indicates that an internal fan is either bad ot blocked by dust or debris, You should be able to look in the back of the unit and see some cooling fans. Chances are one on them is not turning and will need to be replaced

Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761
and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on
the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning
up screen A2 slightly.

Hello I have same model TC-P42X1. Mine turns on then off and cycles 3 times and then shuts off completely. No error code. steady red then off completely. Is that a picture out of a training book? where it says 5volts on pin 9 of P25 means the A board is bad. I do have the five volts. What normally fails on the A board? where can I buy training books like this?
