To whom it may concern,

The 625 duo is not, and has never been, HD capable. It is a Non-Hd, dual tuner DVR receiver. The next box in line that would be HD capable is a 722k receiver, but Dish will want to upgrade you to the latest Hopper/Joey system. If you're persistent with requesting a 722k they will oblige, with hesitation.

Best of wishes,
Dish Guy

Mac serial numbers C07M3AV8DWYL

According to the serial number, the late 2012 Mac mini's maximum Resolution: Up to 2560 by 1600 (Thunderbolt) or 1920 by 1200 (HDMI). However, this mini does not have a slot loading DVD drive.

The last mini with a slot loading drive was made in 2010. That model's maximum resolution is Up to 2560 by 1600 (Mini DisplayPort) or 1920 by 1200 (HDMI)

I have a dish 625 receiver and i wanted to know if i could use an rca to hdmi cable to connect receiver to hd tv

ashlinlow,

You can definitely use an RCA to HDMI converter, though since our 625 receivers do not have HD capability it won't improve the picture at all. If you would like to look into upgrading to HD equipment, you can reach me directly at [email protected]!

Tv1 ir remote stopped communicating with 625 receiver, tv2 works fine...

Baba Ra,

We can definitely check this out! I hope it has been resolved by now. If it hasn't, please check the batteries and make sure they're good. If they are, try re-programming the remote. I have included the steps below for that!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if it works.

If the problem continues, make sure there are no sources of interference like lights or heat near the receiver. If it continues after, then we will need to send a replacement remote. You can reach me here or at [email protected] for further assistance!

Unhooked all lines in back of tv cant remember to rehook up have2

granmabj,

There are common connections to each receiver but there are unique connections also depending on the receiver. Solo receivers have a coax cable coming from the Dish outside connected to Satellite In. Duo receivers and DVR HD receivers have the coax cable that comes from the dish outside that connects to Satellite 1 and Satellite 2 using a splitter. There is also a cable (coax, RCA (yellow, white, red) or component (green, blue, red - video, white, red - audio) or an HDMI if HD) connected from the receiver to the TV 1. For a duo receiver TV 2 may be backfed on the cable coming from the dish outside using diplexers. This may sound confusing but you can call 1-800-333-3474 for assistance.

I want to run my Nientendo Wii through my Dell XPS One - Can I do that?

Absolutely, All HD Display that we have on the market have the HDMI (Hi Definition Multimedia Interface) connectivity. Please find this slot on your Wii and Dell XPS HD Display:

And use a HDMI cable to interconnect them:

Connection to TV by HDMI cable

The 625 is not a high definition receiver and therefore does not support hdmi. You can use RGB or S-video to provide a higher quality picture than the coax output. If you need more options let me know. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
