I'm trying to scan from a book onto colored paper for a learning Bingo game. I've been able to get it to scan & print on two random sheets (one a dark blue, one a bright yellow) but have had problems repeatedly even with those. From taking too many sheets of paper, saying there's no paper (most frequent problem), to pushing the ink cartrige too far to the side. Most often it sounds like it's printing, but only a blank sheet comes out after taking much longer than it ought to.

First thing to try is just play with all the scan settings to see what gives you the best result - try changing resolutions, type of document, type of output document, contrast, brightness, type of scan. If this doesn't give you any better results, then one of the best ways to do this is to get some plastic sheet of the same or almost the same as the predominant colour on your forms (you can go one step further and make a multi coloured filter if you are feeling creative and your forms are all identical). The text jumps out of the page and most scanners will give you a good scan - just make sure the filter is not too thick/dark. Hope this helps :)

I guess you are using word. In that case the default driver you use and comes standard with windows is flawed. Download a new one from HP.
SOURCE: printing is printing blank sheet of paper
Lots of reasons here but usually it is because the software you are using to print is not compatible with the operating system anymore. Example: you used MS Photo Editor which was discontinued in 2003 and never supported under Windows XP. The one function that is broken is printing...it looks like it printed but a blank sheet of paper comes out. (exactly what you described)
Instead, use MS Picture and Fax Viewer or the follow-on product, MS Office Picture Manager.
If you remove the MS Photo Editor application under Control Panel/Software Programs then your picture files will open with a different (more print compatible and friendly) program.

Internet printing can be tricky because everything is in HTML which is not designed for printing but for clicking. So there are links and features but when you try to print it can be blank or half pages. Is there a button on the site that says printable view or print these directions or something similar? If you click on that it should allow you to print the page as you see it on your screen.

Check your print settings, it is possible that you enable page seporator in the settings.
