SOURCE: I am trying to repair the slippage on my Proform

Most treads have two bolts on the rear roller. To tighten turns these bolts clockwise. Depending on how bad the problem is, I usually turn a 1/4 turn at a time. Walk on the machine to check tension. Once tension is correct turn right side bolt or left side bolt to center belt. Remember belt will travel to side with least resistance. ie.. if you want the belt to go to the left- tighten the right side(clockwise) Centering the belt is easier with machine running at about 2-2.5 if belt is not rubbing on the sides.

The deck needs to be lubricated. The lubricant can be purchase @ gympart.com. LUBRICATION PROCEDURE: 1. Turn off and unplug treadmill. 2. Cut off the end of the tube of lubricant. 3. Holding the tube in one hand, insert the tube underneath the treadbelt halfway between front and back and halfway between right and left. 4. Squeeze the full contents of the tube onto the deck in a circular pattern in the center 1/3 of the deck. 5. SOURCE: Proform crosswalk, the walking belt

If the console takes batteries, replace them. If this does not work or your console does not require batteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor. Reed Switch: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The reed switch is mounted on the frame next to the front roller pulley. There is a magnet glued into the front roller pulley. When adjusting the reed switch, make sure it is pointing directly at the magnet. Move the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of the magnet. Also, check to see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected to the console.
Optic Sensor: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The optic disk and sensor are located either at the end of the motor or the right hand side of the front roller. The optic disk spins between two sensors on the optic switch. The disk must spin freely without touching either sensor. The sensors can be moved by loosening the adjustment bolt holding the switch to its bracket. The switch can then be slid. Center the disk. 11_15_2011_8_35_57_am.gif11_15_2011_8_36_26_am.gif

Proform crosswalk caliber elite cuts off after 10 minutes of use

Here are some possible causes and solutions:

Overheating: If the motor or electronics of the treadmill get too hot, the machine may shut down to prevent damage. Make sure that the treadmill is placed in a well-ventilated area and that the air filters are clean. You can also try lubricating the walking belt to reduce friction.

Faulty speed sensor: If the speed sensor is malfunctioning, it may cause the treadmill to shut down. You can try cleaning the speed sensor with a soft cloth and see if that helps .

Worn walking belt: If the walking belt is worn or damaged, it may cause the treadmill to shut down. You can try replacing the walking belt and see if that helps.

Electrical issues: If there are any electrical issues with the treadmill, it may cause the machine to shut down. You can try resetting the circuit breaker or unplugging the treadmill for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.

If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact Proform customer service.

Proform crosswalk 395 keeps tripping circuit breakers

If it's happening as soon as you press start then you need a controller and a walking belt. If it's doing it after a few minutes of use then you need to replace your walking belt.

Proform Crosswalk Dual Motion Cross Trainer Treadmill. motor works great. Rubber on right side under the moving belt has come off so belt slips when in use

I think you are talking about the front roller. It has a rubber sleeve that helps to grip the walking belt. Sometimes you can tighten this enough to keep it from slipping but you run the risk of overtightening and damaging both rollers. We recomend replacing that roller.
