We have a 2008 Mitsubishi shogun 5dr. We have 2 dogs and sometime need to leave them in the car however this is not possible as they set the alarm off! How do we de-activate the alarm so that the dogs can stay in the car when the doors are locked?? We have looked through the whole manual and it gives us nothing about the alarm! A response needed ASAP please Many thanks Helen

There should be an alarm relay under the hood in the distribution box, there just might also be a fuze in the fuze block, just remove the relay

SOURCE: Radio Code for 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage DE

you can take your car to any Mitsubishi dealership (service department) and ask for the code. Usually, they will ask for identification to verify you are the owner of the car. This usually just includes your drivers license and registration card. Sometimes, the dealership will want to physically see the car before they give you the code. But if you don't know the code, the dealership is the only place to get it. Your owners manual will give you the procedure for entering the code once you get it.

2008 mitsubishi alarm going off for no reason?

The sensing system of the alarm is not set properly. Could be that the sensor is too sensitive or that there are objects or debris triggering the sensor into the alarm state.

Check your connections at the shifter and neutral safety switch. If you wiggle the shifter and it starts, the problem is close to the base of the shifter or the wiring harness to the transmission from the shifter. Look for loose connections or damaged wiring.
