My washer will slowly spin while filling up with water. when full it skips wash and rinse and then drains. after drains error code oL comes up. what is wrong with it.
I have this EXACT problem with my Maytag Bravos washer, word for word as the original poster put it. I was very disappointed after reading response #1!!! There is a big difference between a OL code and a UL code and the issue here is definitely an OL code!
Ran the washer with no clothing on it, it filled all the way to the top of the machine, skipped wash and rinse cycles and went right to drain, then produced the OL not UL code!
Hi jbrundage1. I believe you have a UL error code on the washer. It means that the sensors in the washer are sensing the unit is unbalanced. When the washer is empty, set it to a spin or rinse and spin setting. Run the washer through the cycle empty, as it will help to remove any excess water in the tub. Also, make sure the washer is level, as it is balanced on springs, and that could be throwing the sensors off. I hope these suggestions prove helpful. Sincerely, Melanie, Maytag Social Media Representative.
SOURCE: Help!! My maytag neptune MAH6700AWW is having trouble.
the fix was simple i just had to lift my drain hose off the floor. it had become disconnected from the back of the washer and was lying on the floor. I didn't realize that by it lying on the floor it didn't provide the proper back pressure to keep the water in while filling the tub. this was the NF error. as for the LE error. i haven't gotten it since i took off my cold water hose connection and ran hot water into it to losen the dirt/rust that was caked into the screen that is located in it. My washer is running like it is brand new again.

The code LR stands for locked rotor you will need a new motor and motor control kit pretty expensive and only covered under you warrenty for a year!

yes im a expert (laugh)...your drain hose is to low..the drain hose must go up the height of the unit abut 3 feet before it can go down...now if you have your drain hose connect directly to your drain pipe ,,the waste pipe will **** the in coming water right out of unit,,we call this a sphion effect...booth easy fixs,,,onthejob
SOURCE: maytag top loading washer won't agate.
Open your control panel.
Disconnect then reconnect your timer wiring harness.
If this does not correct the problem, replace the timer.

Don't know how to solve it, but I do know that the Solution #1 is WRONG.
I have a 5 year warranty on my washer, but I hate people coming into my house. Background check or not, people are people.
Any ways, when they do fix my problem I will let you know. It's an electrical problem.
I know our electric meters are running, but all you have to do is put the washer on "SPIN" cycle, and it will spin and the water will come out. Or you can put your washer in RINSE cycle, since it did not actually rinse.
I was standing and I watched my washer fill 3/4 full with water, and the skip to "COMPLETE" all on it's own. It was suppose to fill all the way to FULL.
Thinking though, I have well water, and I have rust in my water, and I noticed that my water is pouring slower into the washer, maybe there is a clog with rust or something I'll have to clean the filter, but any ways, maybe the washers have a timer, and when it's to the time it should be complete, it skips to complete. It does take DOUBLE time for my water to go into the washer. I was standing there for several minutes.
Any ways, I hope that will help. My washer first did that a few months ago, it didn't do it again, I didn't think anything of it, then it did it again last month, and about every 2 or 3 washes, it does it. It's NOT the weight of my clothes! I wash mini loads and it does it.
